Thomson B9 Series 80 cm (32 inch) HD Ready LED Smart Android Based TV

TV arrived day before yesterday. Demo and installation was smooth. Most of menu are sleek and self explanatory. \nApptoide tv ap store is great and contain most of the apps. Google play store is available and login also happened flawless. \nWireless display app available uses miracast option . Can use app from playstore to connect the phone to T.V and can use phone display . \nWireless keyboard abd mouse supported perfectly . \n\nIn youtube chromecast support is missing from youtube app in T.V.\n\nIf added bluetooth module would have been great as for now if need to attach bluetooth headset , u need to put some attachment. \n\nT.V is value for money as it completely android based and is fast enough

I have a Thomson VGA TV since past 20 years and it still works fine. So this is the reason why I chose to be one of the first customer on its re-entry to Indian market. I hope Super Plastronics will continue to keep up this trust factor.\n\nPros:(w.r.t. this price point)\n1. Picture and sound Quality is Good.\n2. Looks sleek and beautiful.\n3. Smart TV OS is simple to use with preloaded Youtube, Netflix, Gmail, Miracast and facebook. Then you have Aptiode and usb which allow you to install almost any app available for Android 5.1(Lolipop)\n4. Relatively cheaper than the main competitor in the segment (MI TV 4a). Approximately 900 bucks if you get a wall mount. \n5. I like its regular remote over the Mi remote(with some 11 buttons only), as it makes typing a bit easier.\n\nCons:\n1. None of the popular Remote apps (Mi Remote, Peel, SURE, Android TV, AnyMote, etc.) worked with either IR blaster or wifi. This is the biggest headache when you want to type, search, etc., i.e. using the smart functions.\n2. No bluetooth\n3.The Pre-installed apps are outdated. Aptiode coudn’t be updated so I had to install the latest version separately.\n4. Built quality of back-panel is cheep.\n5. 8 gb of memory is too low. Further you can use only 5 gb. You will realise the pain when you want to use multiple apps.\n6. Hotstar not working. \n7. Kingroot, OneclickRoot didn’t work. So I guess its a bit difficult to jailbreak. So can’t use apps that need root permissions.\n\nSuggestion for buyers:\nAttach a keyboard and mouse, it will make your life easier if you use a lot of apps.\nIf you want to put the TV on Table, be careful, its very light, so it may fall down.\n\nSuggestion for makers:\nPlease…please…please make a remote app which could be used over wifi and IR.

Installation was quick within one day of purchase it’s done, for that it’s 5star.\nComing to Screen and Sound wasn’t that great, will see pixelate from near.. better to have atleast 7 ft distance to get good view. we need to adjust the picture mode settings to get good clarity of picture, default picture modes have more sharpness, if adjusted to 30 to 35 it’s good. HD channels are good HDMI ports given bottom which is not convenient to place &remove if been wall mounted, need to pull tv while putting cable.\nSmart TV perspective it’s good, able to browse, watch youtube videos @1080p. Hotstar video not working. Wifi connection is fine.\n\nComing to remote, give basic remote with buttons. if you want type anything while searching, it’s difficult and time consuming. \n\nImages and videos are playing from harddisk, Sound is loud but not much clarity. Overall it’s good for the given price.

The sound was not good bcoz of set top box.. Once replaced it box i realised the sound was perfect and even better than many other high range televisions.. Coming to display it is really very good but standard resolution tend to pixelate naturally.. Some video n sound enhancements need to be done by users only. Had an amazing experience watching movies and youtube videos even without home theatre system.. This 40 inch TV covers almost 1/3 of the wall so it gives a cinematic experience. Hope u now like the product.. Some of the enhancements to be done manually are described below:\n1) bass n treble at 70 \n2) picture should hv 30 backlight \n3) sharpness, contrast n brightness should be around 40 n color temperature is standard.\n4) Let the Eco Mode remain at middle..\n5) enable surround sound for clear separated flow of vocals n instruments..\n\nNow the device is ready for giving a enjoyable, strainless experience.. Hope u now would like the product n like the review instead of just disliking it..
