My previous rice cooker dries the rice if not eaten within a few hours. When I bought this rice cooker I tested it by cooking jasmine rice and left it for 24 hours and it did not even dry up (although I have my own water to rice ration and not follow their recommendation). The downside of this though is even when it’s written that the rice will cook for 50 minutes as written in the indicator, it still takes almost an hour to get done. I wish though that they have a 10 cups for this brand so I don’t have to keep on cooking rice. I have not tried using its other features as I bought this solely for cooking rice.

Received the product and the packaging comes with cancer and reproductive harm warning
i couldn’t find the information of material online and this product was not listed on their website. I’m gonna guess they discontinued it because of its health hazard. I personally wouldn’t use it given the information, if toshiba could provide information on how LEAD or BPA was used in food safe way then maybe, but since they discontinued it i am not gonna bother.
