great if you are looking for a great plug and play mesh router. stay away if you like to fiddle with settings a lot. took me 5 mins to set up and I have not touched it since

Works very well. Seamless connection at home. The app is very functional and easy to use The only con that I could think of is that each router does not have an individual on off switch but guess that’s just nitpicking

It took me half a decade to decide whether it’s worth buying a mesh router and I would say, blindly go for it. No match of it with any sub 5k router and the amount of coverage I get with speed is just WOW.

The product is fabulous

Simply Amazing!! Super fast delivery by flipkart too. The Deco Mesh is a boon to all who have dead Internet zone at home. Connected in less than 5 mins and now gives blazing speed in every room. Highly recommended.

I ordered 3 units of TP Link Deco M4 model which provides coverage of 5500 sqft.\n\nI selected Deco M4, because it has 1 Gbps ethernet port which is not available in lower models. So even if you have internet speed above 100 Mbps, the deco won’t be able to provide that speed unless you chose M4 or above. Also it has AC1200 wifi capability and should work well if my internet speed is upto 250 Mbps.\n\nAt my home, I have two floors and the 3 decos are placed in the corners. The first deco unit is connected to ISP router via ethernet cable. Output of that deco goes to the other two Deco units via ethernet cable through a network switch. I think this is the best arrangement, with star topology, and wired backhaul. It will give the same internet speed regardless of which deco unit you are connected to, and will NOT result in any speed drop due to Wireless connectivity issues.\n\nNow for the 5G wifi speed test, I connected a test laptop to one of the deco over Ethernet, and connected my mobile phone to the same deco over Wi-Fi. When I ran some traffic on Wi-Fi, I was able to achieve more than 700 Mbps speed even in open environment with Oneplus 5. This means the advertised 5G speed of 800 Mbps seems realistic and reasonable.\n\nRegarding the performance, earlier I had individual routers in my home with different SSID and I was tired of switching network when I moved from one room to another. Also those routers were 802.11N with only 2.4G support, so achieving speeds above 40 Mbps was out of question. But with this Deco M4 setup, I am really delighted that I no longer need to manually switch the network, it just roams to the nearest deco automatically, and gets the best signal, and also provides very good WiFi speed when 5G is connected.\n\nSo overall, I think this is a very budget friendly option under 10,000 to replace your repeater based home wifi system with a solid reliable Mesh system. Just to mention, the Deco app is very minimalistic and simplistic. It doesn’t provide any advance wi-fi configuration like modifying channel number, channel width, tx power etc. But for home use, I think this serves the purpose pretty well.

This has changed the way i use internet at home. Before getting this mesh router i had three different hotspots in the house and all three never worked in tandem with each other. Devices would want to keep a connection with the old wifi AP (access point) that they were connected with till one manually switches over to another, making walking around the house impossible, this is something i do a lot on office calls. \n\nPros:\n1. Great signal coverage. \n2. Seemless wifi roaming. \n3. Great App to control everything. \n4. Guest network, easy setup and access control. \n\nCons:\n1. No web interface for management console. \n2. Ethernet back haul is ideal for inter deco connection. On wifi, the speed drops to 30% – 60% at best. \n3. Some IOT devices (Mi Camera) do not connect to the 2.4 ghz network. \n\nOverall i love this device around my house. Great upgrade for that last mile comfort.

Loved the product and the ease of setting it up Previously I had a dual channel WiFi with two extenders making it a chaos changing SSIDs. The seamless roaming this brings along with one simplified SSID makes it awesome and sweet for connecting multiple clients. \n\nI could also immediately see a perceptible improvement in coverage and improvement in speed, even compared to the WiFi extenders I was using earlier.

Pros:\n1. Took just 5 minutes to set it up using the app. \n2. Nearly 100% of the internet speed as provided by ISP (unlike repeater, where speed drops considerably). \n3. Same SSID all around the house. You don’t have to keep choosing wi-fi connection when moving around the house.\n\nCons:\n1. All the secondary units have to be connected to main unit (which is connected to the ISP provided router using a LAN cable). So, the main unit and ISP’s router have to be placed centrally at a strategic location. You can not have setting like main unit -> 1st repeater ->2nd repeater\n2. Costlier than a regular repeater.

Incomplete Product which is very expensive. It does not have some basic settings, therefore making it useless for many ISPs. Firmware is outdated and pace of development of firmware is very slow. Settings can only be accessed from mobile app. They were trying to make the router extra smart, but they have made it useless instead
