Earlier, l had to use multiple router-repeater to get signal to far corners. Multiple SIDs had one challenge of devices sticking to the furthest device. \nI still use multiple devices with one SID.\nBest part is that the router has no controls and entire device management is from a handy app.

I am very happy with the product. It does exactly what is advertises. I would recommend that go for a 2 deco pack. And only if you need it then purchase one more deco m5. As 2 deco cover a pretty good range.

Gettin 93mbps on the main unit out of 100\nAnd 65mbps on the second unit,\nFacing frequent disconnection during what’s app calls, it’s only happening when connected with this router , don’t know how to fix this , never faced this issue with my earlier tplink C60 router , \n Range is ok , using two units to cover 1800sft \nPrice is on the higher side considering the upgrade from my previous unit,

Not 1 minute of downtime since installed.\nCovers my 1200 sqft house right upto all corners without any drop in speed.\nThe 2 units are installed in straight line of sight.\nIf you have a wall between the 2 units then the speed might drop…..

The rough dimension of my house is 35×26 ft and I had a TP-Link Archer C60 connected to a fiber modem and speed is 60 Mbps\n\nBut the signal was not reaching to the whole house (PC placed about 32 ft but across two brick walls). So I had repeater (2.4Ghz band only) between these two.\nI wanted to have coverage to the floor directly above, which is approx 28×28 ft.\n\n\nHave setup Setup Fiber modem to One Deco M5 (e.g., Main-wired) and another Deco M5 is paired with the main deco wirelessly.\n\nSingle M5 gives me similar coverage as C60 but the DECO M5 looks much better as these as much smaller compared to C60 router.\nThe device works fine and gets a good connection speed through a single wall. And get a good connection through a paired up unit too.\nBoth floors get good connections but in the corner, it still drops, but we have one SSID throughout. \nDeco can be controlled only by APP and not via a web interface. APP is easy to use.\nGet alerts when a new device gets connected\nDeco has parental control settings and antivirus.\nThe Deco has both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, but you cannot select or assign it to the connecting to the device. The workaround is set up a guest network with only 5G enabled for that. \nThere is no bandwidth limit that can be applied per device. This is some kind of workaround but did not find it that useful.\n\n\nMy alternate option would have been to try the \nHigh Power Router like Archer C58HP which claims 10000 sqft circular area coverage so this ideally should cover both floors and it would need one power source only.\n\nOverall i think Deco M5 is a good option but with MESH device you would need to stick to brand which is not a must for repeaters.
