TP-Link RE200 750 Mbps WiFi Range Extender

Good product. Works perfectly, setup is easy. I am using it with both 2.4 and 5 gz bands. Both are working fine and no drops in speed and network. My main router is on ground floor and I install extender in first floor. Without extender my network speed on first floor was around 15-20 Mbps (my internet bandwidth is 70 mbps). With extender I am receiving around 60-65 mbps which is usually the speed I got. Even on terrace I got around 5-10 mbps , before I did not receive wifi signal.

It’s a good Range Extender however you can’t extend your existing 5Ghz wifi from a far off room since 5 GHz signal is practically worse from even the second room. So for eg during setup if you don’t select any 5Ghz, then it will use your base 2.4 GHz signal and Extend it onto 5 Ghz and give better speed than 2.4 GHz of this TP Link Extender\n\nSo for eg.\nFor a typical 100 Mbps Network\nBase Router Speed :\n2.4 GHz – 40 Mbps\n5 GHz – 100 Mbps\n\nConnect this Extender to only 2.4 GHz of your base router and don’t select any 5 Ghz\n\nThen this TP Link extender gives a speed as below\n2.4 GHz – 10 to 33 Mbps\n5 GHz – 35 to 82 Mbps\n( Using only base 2.4 GHz signal from base router )\n\nif you connect to your 5 GHz router from 2 rooms away then this extender will give speed of only 1 or 2 Mbps in 5 GHz because you are quite far away from your base router but above 80 mpbs peak is good enough without using 5 GHz of Base router.\n\n5 GHz of this Extender can be effectivity used, using a lan cable from base router to this extender. But then you can’t have a very lengthy cable so this will sit in same room as your base router, so it defeats the purpose of extending wifi signal into your other rooms or on a different floor for fast speeds.\n\nYou can save some money and go for only 2.4 GHz extender since it can catch 2.4 GHz signal of Base router from quite far away also.\n\nHowever saving Rs. 500 or so is not worth it as you can get 50 to 80 % of your max router speed by going for this extender as explained above.\n\nThree cons – (1) It does not have channel selection setting, so if it overlaps same channel as base router then you can expect very low speeds or no internet also. Restarting both might solve the problem, but you may have to do it everytime.\n\n(2) It does not have USB port so no sharing of data on USB drive through WiFi.\n\n(3) It heats up to a little more than warm. But it’s usually the case with every TP Link device. You should keep it in a good ventilated space, else with time say 2 or 3 years, it’s circuits will go weak and it might give frequent disconnects

It’s a good product. Easy to configure. Works really well . I have been using it since a month now , my connectivity issues have disappeared.

Not a worthy product .. it works like 300 and not 750 kbps .. digisol are much better products. \nPlz don’t but this .. it works as a normal extender . It lags the speed in between

Don’t buy this product guys. First 5 days it’ll work well and now it’s disconnecting every time. Device is correct in router’s range. \nAgain … please don’t BUY THIS product. \nTRUE REVIEW GUYS
