TP-Link RE205 750 mbps WiFi Range Extender

I’ve been using it for a month now I’m not happy using it. Its signal retention capacity is very weak. If you use 5Ghz you will get better speed than normal router but you have to stay in the same room and if you use 2.4Ghz you will get speed like normal router but sometimes the speed is less than normal router. I was using another router bridge connection before using it. I will finally say that there is no need to buy it. If you have an old router, use it with a bridge connection, it will save money. If you are fancy then you can buy it. It is very beautiful and very compact.

this is an excellent product. have used this for more than a month now and it works flawlessly. Note : the stronger the main wifi signal the better its performance will be.

Really very good product. It’s range is also good and it also increases speed and stability is also appreciable. Overall loved the product.

For 2.4GHz :\nIf you can place the extender within 10 meter of your main router it works fine with 2.4GHz .. but above 10 meter it doesn’t work speed goes down drastically..\n\nFor 5GHz :\nYou have to place it within 5-7 meter, after that it is unable to receive signals of 5GHz. \n\nMy phone catch better signals then my router.\n\nMy opinion :\nDon’t buy this Extender because it can’t fullfil your needs.\n\nDon’t buy any Dual band 750mbps Extender or Router , because the difference between the speed at 2.4GHz and 5GHz is not that much .In 2.4GHz the wifi speed is 300 Mbps\nand 5GHz is 450 Mbps ..\n( wifi speed 300 Mbps = near about 80Mbps internet connection speed )\nIf you have net connection speed under 100 mbps then buy 300Mbps router & if more then 100mbps then go for 1200Mbps one .\n\nMy extender is placed 12 meters away from my main router and it’s unable to receive signals from the main router , i have to connect my extender with the main router via lan cable..and as the net speed between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz is not much i have turned off the 5Ghz band in my extender.( i have 100 mbps net connection i m getting ~80mbps in 2.4Ghz and ~90mbps in 5Ghz when i connect my extender with main router via lan cable ).\nWhen i turned on my 5Ghz band the extender gets very worm..\n\nIf you have the option to connect your extender with your main router vai lan cable then go for normal wifi routers because you can get 1200mbps router at this price point.\n\nAs flipkart has only replacement policy with this item think twice before buy this ..
