Whirlpool 500 L Frost Free Double Door 3 Star Convertible Refrigerator

One week usage:\n\nStarting from the delivery date, demo, handling of delivery in first floor..I liked everything and it was a smooth transaction.\n\n- It wasn’t noisy at all actually\n- can make ice in a short time\n- though it is not an led inside the box still it is good for the big cabin\n- functionalities and features were good especially I was using the auto mode which is doing its job perfectly fine.\n\nSo far I have nothing to complain about but I’m yet to buy thr stabilizer as the guy from the whirlpool told that the front panel leds will go off if we are using the stabilizers.

This is awesome value for money. I would recommend everyone to go for this one. Not only it looks great but also storage wise its best in class.

Being an old customer of Whirlpool refrigerators, this is my second purchase for a different address. The refrigerators run perfectly fine, without slightest disturbances/ issues (for more than 6 years of the first purchase), giving me the trust to depend on the same company again. I have all thumbs up for its looks, capacity, performance and zero maintenance. In our family, we rough-use refrigerators a lot, so a positive feedback coming from such customer is a good sign for other would be customers too, I suppose.

For those who are planning to buy a Convertible refrigerator or specifically this refrigerator, they must read this review.\n\n1. The performance of the refrigerator is excellent. The only drawback is that its sides heat a little. Otherwise, the cooling power of both the freezer and refrigerator is just perfect. Moreover, there isn’t much noise as mentioned by some users. The fridge is quite quiet and this much low noise doesn’t disturb your sleep at all, except for insomniacs. No refrigerator is fully quiet, keep this thing in mind.\n2. There is no physical 5-in-1 convertible mode as mentioned by the company. The company has specially written POWERED BY AI INTELLIGENCE. This means that the mentioned convertible modes are just hypothetical and based on Intellisense technology, which we can never appreciate at all. The only convertible mode is to power down the freezer by pressing the CONVERT MODE button, which basically powers down the freezer to the level of the refrigerator, but for just 4-5 hours maximum. That means, you can just temporarily use the freezer as a refrigerator. That’s it.\nThe only complete Convertible mode in Double Door refrigerators comes only in Samsung company, or otherwise in French Door or Side by side door refrigerators.\n3. The aesthetics and design as well as the shelf placement and space utilisation by the Whirlpool company is just awesome. This is the major difference which distinguishes Whirlpool from LG in this sub-300 L segment. There are two shelves on the door where you can keep a lot of bottles, whereas in the LG refrigerators, they have increased the fruit and vegetables basket to such a size that there is no space left for the lower shelf on the door to keep water bottles. LG has just made a very thin shelf in front of the basket, where you can put nothing much of use.\n4. The star rating of the product is 3 stars, which is the maximum for any double door frost free refrigerator with inverter compressor. Previously it was 4 stars, but BEE decided to decrease one star for the same 4 star refrigerator in 2020. So, basically the refrigerator consumes just 194 Units of Electricity in one complete year, which is almost 50-60 units less than the 2 star refrigerator of the same category. Since a refrigerator usually works well beyond 7-8 years, therefore spending an extra dime for getting a 3 star refrigerator is beneficial in the long run, since electricity rates will go on increasing in countries like India where consumption of electricity is much higher than the electricity generation, due to already too much and ever growing population.\n5. The external looks of the refrigerator are better than the Samsung refrigerators of the same category. The only competition in the sub 300L segment with perfect space utilisation and shelf placement is between Whirlpool and Samsung. All other companies (believe me, I’ve researched all companies in the 260-300L segment before buying this refrigerator) don’t have proper space utilisation especially the shelves on the door. But, Whirlpool’s external appearance is way better than Samsung because of that large black display portion on the freezer door, making it look beautiful.\n\nThis is everything I could cover on all the aspects of the refrigerator.\nIf you found my review helpful, don’t forget to press the LIKE button besides this review \n\nA last thing to remember – a refrigerator is purchased after looking its capacity, proper utilisation of its space, its cooling capacity, its energy efficiency rating, other features as desired like Convertibility (which is almost of no use to anyone, except for hotels and restaurants, which you can confirm from any friend of yours having a fully convertible refrigerator by asking how many times has he/she ever used convertible modes), and the last and of least importance – its external appearance, and designs like flowers etc. So make your decision accordingly.
