This exceed my expectations.

I needed a workhorse for work and this has been great. Nothing complicated, but I needed something with memory, power so that I can run multiple apps on two different external monitors. My only issue with it is that it has no camera. The battery does very well and held up on several trips I took across the country. My personal opinion is that ASUS is the best.

Before I get to my specific issue as to why this is a one star product I will say that this laptop is incredible.
Upgrading from a 1660ti laptop, the gpu and cpu, (that being a mobile 3080 and AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS) in this laptop offers a very smooth experience browsing the web with a nice 165hz display.
The resolution caps out at 1440p and for such a small screen, that resolution is perfect with great clarity and color precision. It’s a very light weight laptop with decent battery life. You won’t hear the fans on here kick off for regular browsing, and it runs pretty cool meaning it won’t burn your legs if you tend to watch Netflix with the laptop placed on your lap like I do.
For gaming, the laptop is impressive. It can push a game pretty hard while keeping a stable 60fps if you’re realistic with your settings. This is a laptop with a mobile 3080, it will not perform like a desktop 3080, and definitely doesn’t perform like a desktop with ray tracing features. But like I said, if you adjust your settings, you can get respectable frame rates, like with any other computer.
Storage is ok but 1tb in 2022 won’t get you far. Definitely get a version with more storage, as well as more ram. I opted for the 32gb version specifically because I play Fallout 4, and the more ram you throw at this game, the better it runs for some reason.
With that being said, I’m going to explain why I’m giving this a one star.
I mainly play Fallout 4 so if the game runs, I’m happy. I’m not pushing the game graphically to its limits, but if your familiar with modding and Bethesda games you’ll know their titles don’t perform well anyways. With an enb on, and a generous mod count of 200+, the game runs perfectly fine, with hardly any performance issues, or even any crashes (mods tend to be responsible for most of your crashes so depending on your load order, your mileage may vary). The problem I have is hardware based. The screen is simply broken. I have 0 idea what causes this issue and it’s not driver based, nor is it the games fault. It’s the display. I paid $2000 for a broken laptop out of the box. I used the laptop for about 200 hours of game time and it ruins my experience. I recommend the laptop but be warned.
