after using 1 week
AKAI 43 Inch Fire Edition TV delivered on time. Installation by amazon service technician done on next day, as per scheduled date. Technician explained some feature for Fire TV after installing on table top stand. Also connected to wifi and amazon account.
immediately software updated to FIRE OS 6.2.7.5. Later after he went I have installed and logged to other apps like youtube, hotstar etc.
TV is light weight around 6 kg and comes with good packaging, table top, wall mount, remote and battery. Power consumption sticker shows 88w.
3 HDMI port and 1 USB port and LAN-RJ45 and IR Cable port given on backside.
Colors are bright and viewing angle is great. Sound output at 20W is more than sufficient for 200Sq feet room.
Alexa does wonders, even u can connect other Bluetooth accessories, Dolby output really makes TV experience better.
Appstore from fireos having all popular apps, like JIOcinema, and even we can install other apps via sideload option. Both works smoothly.
Remote having dedicated voice search key, we can just voice command it like SWITCH TO SONY HD and it works perfectly.
I have also installed IR cable from amazon.

This enable me to use TV remote to change channels from my Airtel DTH box, Also favorites channel listed/selected under Live Tv Tab can be easily accessible with remote button-RECENT.
I was very confuse about andoit tv and various OS like patchwall or WebOS or Android. But AKAI new TV made me final choice. Great buy. Other popular Brand also sells FireTV.
Only con is it should have 2 USB ports.

I am writing this review to intimate you all that please don’t buy this TV and waste money. As many have already written that we will become a football between Akai and Amazon and it’s very true. I purchased this TV on Dec 2020 and till yesterday this is the third TV of the same model which faced the same display issue of white grains all over and it’s very common with this model. Initially it will work fine, then your remote will stop working which they replaced on request with new one, then after three months TV display will not work. Pics attached for your reference and then again based on request and complaint Akai will send you a new TV as replacement with a defective panel which will work for another 4 months. Again after 5 months you will face the same issue. This drama keeps on going. Every complaint you raise a defective panel board TV will be given to you which will work for hardly 4 months. Finally warranty period gets over. I have never faced such a horrible experience with Amazon products. Being a Prime member I have lost my loyalty too due to such shitty products which is been sold at Amazon. People are getting cheated as this edition initially began on sale with low price of 23K and now it’s approx 32 K . People who are going to buy, trust me you will be fooled. This is my third review based on my true experience. I lost my hard worked cash buying this Akai TV. Worst ever product. Please stop selling this shitty products to consumers. This needs to be dealt legally. Amazon is selling defective Akai products and cheating people. My track history is pretty evident on the replacement done due to the same display issue of this Akai TV. Ideally now I started believing never ever purchase any electronic items like TV etc through Amazon because you will not get any support or service from Amazon on this issues. You will keep on wasting time speaking with customer care executives but the concern will not be solved. It doesn’t even deserve a single star. Thrice defective panel display issue within 12 months.Utter waste product.

Very disappointed, brought this tv in jan’21, in September these lines & no pic visible. I raised a complaint the service person called asked to WhatsApp images dint visit to check the tv & sed there is a problem with the display & needs to be changed no response after that . After a month the issue resolved. Now again march’22 & i can’t view anything on the tv.
I was contacted by Akai after i posted this review. They sent a technician whom I showed my previous chats when my tv was in warranty & no one attended. I paid for the visit charges of the technician since it is out of warranty & 1 year. I was told il receive a call on 21st March “22. It’s more than a week no call & when i call noone answers. I’m really hoping Amazon can look into this and provide a solution. I have wasted my money & i don’t have a working TV now. Utterly disappointed, that I bought this TV & so soon so many problems & Akai service centre doesn’t respond. What am i supposed to do with a non working TV after spending so much??
I called Akai customer service and again registered a compliant. Today after two weeks one lady calls & starts telling lies that she had already informed me i have to pay 17000, for a new display. Told her she dint call me , her response was ok but you have to pay 17000, when my tv was in warranty no technician came to replace the display , only exchanged WhatsApp messages. Is this how Akai cheats customers? You’ll avoid after sales service & when warranty is over you’ll make customers pay? This is like extortion, the customer has no other tv & if wants the tv to work Has to pay. I need a resolution from Akai. I’m very upset & furious now. Stop cheating customers. If you can’t manufacture a good product stop it.
8th May today – it’s 8 months that Akai dint honour my claim whilst in warranty period. 8 months I have this tv that is not working. Even though I claimed in warranty they delayed it & now are not responding. Don’t waste your money on this product they are cheats.
