Amkette Boomer RGB Bluetooth Speaker with 30W Rich Sound, Dedicated Bass Boost Mode, 7 Hours Playback, BT,AUX,USB,SD Card, Type-C Charging (Black)

Have been using for slightly over a year now.

Good sound, as expected from the specs.

Build quality is quite good.

Battery charging time however, is a tad higher. That’s the only menace.

Overall good speaker.

This review is for Boomer Fx+. This is an upgrade from the Boomer Fx.
Writing this review after using this for more than 2 months now. This is a good speaker for the price range, however there is a lot of scope for improvement.

The build is decent and feels good to hold. Not too heavy and easy to carry in one hand. A scratch resistance body would give it a premium feel. At full volume it is good enough for a large room. There is almost no distortion in the highs and lows at full volume. This would also depend on your music source. The battery life varies on the mode. Using Bluetooth at default speaker volume (approx 45-50% vol) I have got an average of a 16 hours per charge. However when using the USB port I have got around 9- 10 hours with similar volume settings. The buttons on the top work well. Mode is used to change source and to disconnect/connect multiple speakers. The +/- buttons changes tracks / increases volume. The speaker phone function is not really good. At times that caller cannot hear you however it is usable. The on/off switch, LED indicator, aux port, charging port, USB and SD card ports are located at the back of the speaker. It would have helped a lot if the On/Off switch AND the LED indicator was on the top of the speaker instead of the back. As the speaker is tapering backwards, the LED indicator cannot be seen at eye level. One has to lift the speaker to check the mode/ battery full indicator. (Turns blue when full and red when charging). There is no battery indicator/level on Bluetooth when it’s connected to a phone/laptop. So it’s difficult to exactly know the battery level. At approx 10% battery, the speaker gives a beep every 10 seconds. This is an improvement over the Boomer Fx from the “battery low” verbal indicator,however it’s not useful as one cannot actually use the device as its disturbing. This should be reduced to 5% or lower so that one can actually use 95% of the battery. Charging time is approx 5 hrs. I have not used the power bank function and cannot comment. The USB drive source accepts only drives of 64GB and below. This is not mentioned anywhere in the specifications or manual. Anything higher will not be recognized by the speaker. My guess is the same is the capacity with SD cards. I have not used SD card as a source as yet. Bluetooth connection range is not too good. Huge scope for improvement here. I have also not used the built in FM function as yet.
In the box, Aux cable, charging cable, manual and speaker. You also can register the speaker on the Amkeet website for warranty/guarantee purpose.

Overall it’s a good speaker for the under 2k price range.

This product is described as a 12W speaker, but it has 4 Ohm, 2 Nos. of 5W speakers. so bacillary it is a 10W blue tooth speaker not the 12W.

Radio 4* – I struggled at the start & as Radio functions are not explained in the manual & thought that the radio function is faulty. but after that, I figure out the way…

Just to help other buyers / users to enable the Radio…
1- first you need to press & hold the radio button for 5-6 seconds, it will start the scan of all radio channels & it will take 20-25 seconds to complete the scan.
2- Use Volume + & – button for 2 Seconds to change the channels.
3- It has an inbuilt antenna for FM but, if you have a poor signal quality issue then insert the AUX cable, it will work as a signal enhancer & give you better reception / Batter signal quality.

– This product could be batter if they use batter quality set of speakers in this product &
