This device works great and I have no issues with heat whatsoever.

Using this usb hub to connect an external SSD and a microphone and a midi keyboard, connects wonderfully well. the wire is also very sturdy and it grips into the USB socket very firmly. The Transfer speed is also amazingly fast , and enjoying USB 3.0 speeds makes you do your work very fast and helps you stay more productive. Thank you Anker would recommend this product to all creative professionals.

This is probably the best USB hub I’ve used. Minimal design, works as expected, getting good read/write speeds on external hard drive. Would definitely buy again whenever I have a need for more USB ports. The cord is just long enough, could have been longer but that’s easy to extend with an additional cable.

The usb3.0 hub is very sleek and has decent cord length . I have connected the hub to my laptop to connect keyboard, mouse and webcam. It works nicely. Like the sleek profile. Though little pricey compared to other hubs because of brand name

The Good things :
Design – it’s sleek and lightweight.
Good Quality
Plug & Play – easy to use.
The Bad thing :
Only supports a maximum upto 900 mA, clearly mentioned in the Amazon website and in the document in the box. So if you want to connect a harddisk, you have to unplug all other USB ports so that the harddisk gets enough power to work properly.

A good solution for when your pc has a shortage of USB ports but you can only do the following.
✓ Can use pen drives, card readers, etc .
✓ Can connect USB webcam and/or headsets.
✓ Can charge your phone.
X Cannot use USB debugging. (Even though you can charge your phone, you won’t be able to do USB debugging for it)
If you’re a college student who is learning mobile app development and is thinking of buying this product, don’t.

I had my doubts at first, but once I started using it, I realized that this is what I wanted. It serves the purposes I needed it for. The cable length is okay. Built quality is decent.
My current setup consists of a RK mech keyboard and a corsair mouse connected via this Anker hub. Playing competitive FPS games or typing/documentation has not caused any issues so far. I’ve even kept my Seagate external hard drive connected as well. So go for it.

Lo compré para mi ipad y me ha servido mucho, solo que he tenido un problema.
Suelo proyectar mucho ya que soy docente, así que necesitaba un adaptador con hdmi que pudiera proyectar y cargar el ipad al mismo tiempo, ya que se drena rápidamente la batería cuando proyectas. Vi que este podía hacer ambas cosas y lo compré, pero al parecer necesitas un cuadro de carga con más potencia que el del ipad (20W) para proyectar en un monitor/proyector y que se esté cargando. Lo probé cargando con un cuadro de MacBook y al parecer si carga mientras el ipad esta conectado al monitor, pero pues no voy a comprar un cuadro de carga de MacBook…ese no era el punto… También me di cuenta de que drena rápidamente la batería cuando lo usas en general, como para pasar archivos con el USB, etc. Creo que eso es normal con cualquier hub y es por eso que buscaba uno que pudiera cargar al mismo tiempo.
Es un buen hub y muy versátil, lo recomiendo, solo que drena rápidamente la batería, la razón principal por la que lo compré era para que no se descargara tan rápido el ipad mientras lo proyecto, me hubiera gustado saber que mi cargador no iba ser suficiente y así buscar otras opciones. Solo para que lo tomen en consideración antes de comprar.

It doesn’t have durability. I got it almost an year ago. It worked fine initially, now all the devices don’t seem to be working when connected to this hub. If you are a gamer then better not buy it. It’s frustrating af when your keyboard randomly goes off.
They need to better the build quality to increase its life.
