This product “Anker Power Drive 2” has been updated and improved. It does, now, make good contact in a standard UK/European car accessory socket (cigarette lighter) and charges both Apple and Android ‘phones and tablets. Well done Anker for responding to concerns. I HAVE NO RECOMMENDING THIS PRODUCT. Following my previous, unfavourable review, I was contacted by Anker, expressing their concern and, after releasing their updated version of this product, they provided me with a sample for evaluation, at no cost. This action has not influenced my review in any way. It is, now, a good product. I consider Anker to provide not only good products but excellent service.
Unfortunately, this product DID NOT WORK so was returned for refund. The adaptor looks good and appears to be well designed and manufactured but, unfortunately, when connected to car accessory socket, it did not make good electrical contact due to the springs not making positive contact with the sides of the accessory socket, allowing the adaptor to move around and produce an intermittent contact. It has been returned for refund and replaced with a product from a different manufacturer.

2nd time I removed the same product with the same faulty issue. Cable charging and not fast charging. Note am using Fast Charging USB branded and my phone supports fast /Super fast charging A71 Samsung
