Bought this for MacBook pro M1 chip extension to USB devices. It serves the purpose. It works with USB hub as well.
The price is too high. Apple should give this type of connection free of cost and not put the burden on consumers.

Its a useful product atleast for another few years since USB A device era is not yet over. There are lot of cheap alternatives available for this product. But for all the products i have read one common complaint that when mac wakes up from sleep, device connected on the adapter is not recognised which is the reason i went for this product
But if you’re using usb a devices rarely that too for ver short time better go for cheaper good alter natives like amazon basics, cable creation brand. If usb a devices are frequently used, then its a good product

Would like to sum it up in few words.
You need one of these if you are planning to by any MacBook post 2018 that has USB C ports.
You can look for third party multi ports hub too but one of these is necessary in your laptop bag.
