Received the product a week ago and I sent the cam to my friend as a free gift instantly after giving it a go. Few things I think the product can improve in the future from a full time WFHer pov:

    1. Though I work in digital industry, the magnifying lens doesn’t really help as I don’t usually present the draft on a paper. When brainstorming with designers or devs, we’ll work on the online collaborative tools such as Miro or FigJam. Industrial designer or mechanical engineer may leverage the lens but the chance for using the lens is low I reckon. Another issue is that the magnifying lens will cover the microphone, meaning that ppl can’t hear you properly when you’ve the lens on.

    2. Unclear position from marketing pov – most workers in AUS have their equipped laptop, meaning the camera from the laptop already serves its purpose. If there’s no strong connection between the product and the user, I don’t believe the cam can stand on a good position in the market.

I was looking for a webcam for an online presentation, and its multi-function attracted me.
This is my first time using BenQ products. It is worth the price.

The mic is great and clear(they say it contains noise cancellation). But when I put the microlens on the camera, the lens covered the mic, and my voice was just muted.

I think they adjusted the tone of the colour. I look better than my previous webcam, and the auto-adjusting for low light worked well. But sometimes the picture quality could be better when I use the microlens. I can easily put the camera on most of the screens, so if you have a narrow frame around the screen or are using a laptop like me, you will like it. The stand can be set on anywhere between 90-75 degrees to fit your screen and anywhere between.

For the price, it is a great value and a fantastic camera.
I used the laptop for the presentation; I couldn’t use the built-in webcam to demonstrate the operation. So I needed an extra camera that could have a close-up shot of the circuit.

This camera built-in a ring light I used in poor lighting, so I don’t have to set up another light. I am not a KOL. Adding an external ring light is annoying. So a webcam with a built-in ring light is a great feature for people like me.

When I use this camera, I plug in the USB port, and then I can use it immediately, and the web app they designed allows me to use it directly without downloading any software to take the storage of my laptop.

The auto-focus worked nicely. It took around 2-5 sec to refocus. I used it to demonstrate the details more the chips, and everyone could see the product number.

What I liked the most was I could flip the camera, and the camera would focus on the table; the best part was that it helped me to mirror the screen. So the viewer is looking in the same direction as my view. Also, I can take it off the stand to give the viewer a tighter shot of the work.

Anyway, this is a fantastic camera. It can do a lot of stuff. I like it.
