Installation:
This is for Mumbai region. The technician who installed coordinated on phone very well. He assessed the installation area and then gave a quote. Cost for installation was very high. They charged 315₹/ft for extra copper pipe. Which was the bulk of the installation charge. And 100₹/mtr for drain hose pipe. Which is actually 30₹/mtr if you buy from hardware store. I gave into high charge since i couldn’t go buy these myself. It cost so l me overall 5000₹ approximately.
Having said that, the work was very neatly done by the technicians. You can see from the attached photo. Note that core cutting was done by the builder, not the technician.

About AC:
The compressor unit and the indoor unit both are a bit compact in size as compared with likes of Daikin and Panasonic ones at my parents home. It is also quieter.
Cooling is good. But i cannot really judge it, because it is installed in living room which has a passage. There is scope of cooling escaping. But yeah in the main living room space it cools well. There is timer On/Off setting. I would have loved an ‘hour sleep timer’ which is ideal when you are in the middle of sleep and want to set ac on for just a couple of hours. Two button click and done. Setting timer in such a state is a commando level task (hyperbole).
Modes are simple. Nothing complex in use.

Summary:
– compact, good build AC
– silent operation
– expected cooling (140sqft living room area)
– Costly installation IMO, but very well executed
– Drain pipe not part of the package
– 10 ft copper and power cable part of the package. Extra is charged.
– Better to check and take an estimate of extra installation and get the parts yourself.

Installed this ac as my previous was non inverter and 10 years old. Cooling capacity is very nice and being 4 star saves power too. In other reviews i didn’t see this product maybe they have older versions but this ac works very well. Amazon gave me 599+ gst installation for which i didn’t get any calls or msg so downloaded bluestar app and booked through it so gat the details of the schedule and then bluestar installers came and installed the ac. I had water pipe already so didn’t get charged. Better you buy from outside as they charge around 100₹ per foot. The whole installation process cost me ₹707 only. Happy with it.
This is my genuine experience and i would say for cooling bluestar is best. Go for it.

Con: the service person sat on the outdoor unit for which i told him not to but still after some time he sat upon it. Where as i know vibrations and noise start to come from the outdoor unit when pressure is put on the top of unit as the structure frame bends and vibration starts.

140sq ft room becomes cool within 4-5 minutes using turbo… using for the last 3days ..till now no issues.

INSTALLATION IS NOT UP TO THE MARK. THE PERSON WHO CAME FOR INSTALLATION TOOK RS 1490/- AND GAVE A RECEIPT OF RS 1060 ONLY. HE TOLD US THAT RS 350 FOR TAPE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECEIPT AND 70 FOR THE PLUG. HE TOOK 1490/- BUT HE WAS NOT READY TO DRILL THE WALL FOR PIPE. FIRST HE TOLD APKI WINDOW KHULI HI RAHEGI. AFTER DISCUSSION HE WAS READY TO COVER THE WINDOW WITH TAPE AND CARDBOARD WHICH NOW LOOKS VERY UGLY AND NOW WE CANNOT OPEN THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WINDOW. HE TOLD US THAT HE CAN NOT DO MORE THAN THIIS. HE WAS NOT READY TO LISTEN AT ALL. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
