Its very hard to find the toner cartridge, buying original makes no sense as the CMYK will cost 20k, for economy i have to rely on compatible ones plus the paper media especially glossy is hard to find. Print with original cartridges is good in graphics but photo prints are not that good,
it has a fast print speed but sacrifices the quality, if the paper would have moved through the fuser a little slower ; prints would have been shinier, HP on the same range has slow print speed but the quality is very good. They could have either set the fusing temp a little higher or made the prints a little slower. I have not yet tried printing on a glossy paper.
It has a front loading paper tray and the prints comes out in the top portion of the printer so it has to make a rollover which prevents the printer from printing on thick paper above 170 gsm, if the paper out put was on the back side of the printer, it could print on very thick papers. Though there is a slot for printing envelopes and thick media sadly it only accepts one at a time.
Its good for printing letter heads.
The print quantity for each toner is declared on the basis of 5 percent area coverage. So printing a full coloured page will drastically shorten the no of pages printed.

Simply the best. What a great printer. It is easy to setup and use. The cartridges is comes with are not full, so they run out quickly. I had to replace the Black pretty soon, but as I print mostly B&W, I ignore the colour replacement notices. It’s a top printer for a great price. Amazon, once again.

Just configured the wireless and it worked seamlessly without having to install any additional drivers on my mac. Colour print quality if much more superior as compared to inkjet when default settings are used. You may be able to get a good quality with inkjet, but I had tried to tinker with settings with my exiting inkjet, and every time the colour quality, details on the printout were not that great when printing images on a regular A4. This one is just awesome, print speed is fast and the picture quality is awesome even with default settings. I would definitely recommend this ! Will post an update after 5-6 months of usage, if anything worthwhile comes up.
