Good value but we cannot get the audio input to work consistently . Went to Bluetooth. Speakers are terrible. Get good headphones or a Bluetooth speaker. Already had these. Fast loading, good touch screen and decent battery life. One star off for sub par audio.

A pretty decent laptop but it’s plagued with low-level issues that prevent it from being a capable computer.
The laptop is a good size at 14″ and the Ryzen 7 CPU gives it plenty of power (and the Radeon Vega 10 graphics even allows for some moderate gaming if that’s your bag). The RAM is upgradable from single channel DDR4 8GB to dual-channel with a second RAM slot and, while the wifi is low-end 1×1 ac, it can easily be upgraded to a better 2×2 card for enhanced performance. It even includes a space for a 2.5″ disk drive (HDD or SSD) for more space (and the 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD is already pretty generous).
However in spite of this, the laptop is inherently defective. There is something that causes the fan to randomly spin up (even when it’s closed) and then spin down in the space of a single second for no discernible reason. Furthermore, I’ve experienced several crash-and-reboots since buying this (and the Event Viewer indicates the restart was not triggered by software) and on at least one occasion it locked hard when I was using it. It seems to happen most often when the laptop is closed and asleep.
I can’t recommend this, despite its features. The unpredictable nature of it is too much to deal with if you want a productive laptop. Such a shame.

I’m usually often an HP girl, however, HP hardware often tends to die on me. I shopped around, researched and found Dell has less hardware issues, etc. I bought this in July 2020 when my last HP failed. This computer is lightweight, was great bringing back and forth to school. Overall good design as far the pieces and physical aspects go.
NOW, here’s where the 2 stars come in: This laptop slowed down so much for only having it a year. I mainly used it for work and school, I’m not running any multiple complex programs, using it for storage heavy or even gaming as Im not a heavy gamer. It was great the first few months. Around the 6 month mark, is when I noticed a change. The speed slowed immensely, it would often freeze on me heavily and randomly restart while I was using it and just other weird techy issues. I’ve taken it to Geek Squad and they just told me to uninstall a few programs and don’t let any programs run on start. Great, that worked but only temporarily. The issues came back again. I often freeze when running normal applications and can’t really play simple games. I don’t know if this is a coinciendence and just happens to be a faultly laptop or if this is something that happens often with Dell as this is my first Dell laptop but might just be my last.

By far the worst pc that I ever buy, extremely slow to wake up, I need to press the start button a long time and repeatedly to wake it up after its sleeping mode. When I am working it freezes everything for a few seconds and blinks for one moment and it does that too often to be normal. Six months later I update my review and is, unfortunately, the worst, laptop stop or working on Dec 17, It never starts again and shows a message there is not hard disk connected. I contacted Dell on Dec 19 and ask for a replacement of the disk because my PC was on the guarantee, I contacted them five times since them and never received a service or any useful thing up today, a new representative told me today, jan 18 that I have to send my laptop from florida to kentucky.
