I was hoping that Fender would lend their name to something that was of better quality. While, it’s a lot cheaper than say Apple earbuds or even Bose, or Beats, I still had higher expectations from Fender. The sound is fine, but not great. The earbuds are uncomfortable and tend to fall out too often for my taste, but at least they are on a string so I don’t have to hunt a single earbud down should a singular one fall off if I am running. That said, the wire / string that they are attached to is uncomfortable and the way you’re supposed to wear the earbuds pulls on the earbuds itself and can yank them off your ears if you turn your head suddenly. When they are on, they also look goofy. Not much of a fashion statement. The wire gets kinked all the time no matter how much I try to straighten it out. However, it’s a lot better than some of those $30 pairs. When this headphone breaks, I’ll get something else.

Been in audio for 40 years, first as a performer, then in pro recording. Tried lots of gear, heard tons of hype, and know a great deal about audio. Bought this product as a means to listen to audio while exercising and operating a riding mower. Corded products are not optimal for either purpose, so Bluetooth was a key feature for me. This product comes from a well-known company, though its history is predominantly one of instrument and amplifier manufacture. PureSonic earbuds are not in the same class as in-ear monitors, but as earbuds’ specs go they’re pretty good. Good frequency response over the practical spectrum – as long as you keep the fit tight. Fairly lightweight. Ergonomically sound design both in the earbuds and the controls. Spent a few days trying these out and am very disappointed to report that their Bluetooth capability is extremely limited; it’s not an over-statement to call it “hobbled.” Using the same iPhone 7 Plus I can provide signals to eight other Bluetooth products out to 15+ feet with no problems. The PureSonic earbuds cut-out and fail at less than three feet. The signal breaks up if I hold the phone in my hand or in a pocket while walking. I have to keep the phone within 30″ or so of the earbuds to maintain a connection. This renders the product unsuitable for my purposes, and it’s going to be returned. It’s a non-issue for most uses, but the battery and control unit are also too close to the earbuds themselves to permit me to wear ear-protection over the ear buds; the protectors’ cushions press against those parts, which is both uncomfortable and degrades any noise isolation.

The good:
Very satisfied with the quality of the sound, definitely its selling point. Fan of the standardized charging port.
The bad:
Bluetooth connection is a little bit choppy. While the source device (ex. phone) is sitting still, the connection is normal. However when the source device is in motion (ex. in your pocket while walking) there are slight disruptions and cutoffs to the connection. Slightly irritating, but tolerable.

Sound quality is just as expected from Fender (fantastic). However, when the music source (iPod-cell phone etc is not laying totally flat & not moving around (ie: in a pocket or even in an arm band- the sound connection will cut in & out… kinda frustrating (&a little disappointed)when paying over $50 for what should be a superior product.
