Bought this as a Secondary Bedroom TV for HDR OTT Binging and it serves the intended use quite nicely albeit with a fair share of cons which make it unviable from being a blind choice. First I will talk about the cons and then the pros of it .Please note my review is only for the 55 inch and doesn’t represent the other sizes of this TV

    Cons =

    1. Bad viewing angles. I thought I knew what to expect from a budget VA panel until I saw this one. My Crystal AUE700 looks like an IPS panel next to it. Its bad enough that it can hardly accommodate 3 peoples’ field of view without starting to lose contrast. My relative actually joked about me getting a projector free with the TV as that is what it looks like from an acute angle which btw the Crystal doesn’t despite it being a cheaper VA TV from 3 years prior.
    2. Bad motion control despite a ton of motion calibration settings provided for fine tuning. Again the Crystal’s motion is more defined and crisp with zero judder despite it being a 60 hz panel compared to this 120 hz panel. While you can remove the persistent judder with my tested settings given below, the same cannot be said about the motion definition especially in 24p content. Its good enough but definitely below average. Hisense is just not known for good motion control and a quick Google search will confirm this for you . See the attached pics for the judder recorded by using rtings judder testing methodology and the corrected results without it. Btw 60 fps content is definitely above average with no Judder.
    3. Vidaa is just plain bad. Barely has the essential streaming apps and no proper media center for USB playback. That USB 3.0 port cant even be used to its potential owing to the lack of a single 3rd party video player app like VLC on its appstore and also it doesn’t support any form of side loading apps. Huge Video files just won’t open citing,”unsupported format”. I got a Fire Cube 3 to go with it and got no qualms, but definitely miss the native refresh rate for easier processing in some apps.
    4. Average processing and a bit of banding in SDR
    5. A bit of Grid Dirty Screen effect and clouding on two corners. The clouding is basically the opposite of Vignetting. Luckiky the Grid DSE is not easily visible unless watching white fullscreen shots or skies. The clouding on the other hand is a bit distracting in watching sports. However none of these show up in HDR content owing to the good local dimming control.

    Pros =

    1. Outstanding colour coverage and geeat colour volume . Cannot see any obvious errors with tone mapping either. BT 2020 content looks outstanding especially HDR10 and HDR10Plus . Dolby Vision is a bit darker than the TV is capable of but still will appeal to purists planning to watch in a moderately lit room .
    2. Gradients look a bit better in Dolby Vision compared to HDR and overall dynamic range of high APL scenes is unheard of at this price, atleast to me.
    3. Supports DTS which Samsung and LGs dont support.
    4. Brightness is amazing. I keep it below 70 for YouTube HDR videos as I get headache from longer sessions in a well lit room
    5. Contrast and dark details nearing Oled territory. It does have blooming around bright objects in a moderately lit room but then again who doesn’t. The Sony X90K has worse blooming and while that one is distracting this one is not. Anime on it looks like Oled, period.
    6. Reflections are no problem unless you’re watching dark content in a well lit room during which its amazing contrast makes the TV reflective. Not something you can fault it with .
    7. Has a 3.5 mm jack for older sound systems and even newer formats like dolby atmos and digital plus sound great with clear dialogue on my old 2.1 Samsung speakers. Even costlier TVs won’t bag you this feature as they try to push their overpriced soundbars on you.
    8. Got it installed in 2 days tops with good followup from their local partners. The technician assured me not to worry about warranty and gave me their local shop address 5 mins away from where I live in case of any problem. Lets hope it doesn’t come to that.

Finally here are my settings that you should definitely give a shot.

SDR = Filmmaker, Backlight – According to your needs. Local dimming -either off or high depending on whether its sports or movies and shows ( If sports with Local Dimming looks good to you ,then go for it ). Brightness -50.Contrast -50.Colour -53. Sharpness -0. Ultra Smooth -Custom, J 2, B 0. Nosie Reduction -off or low. Mpeg Noise reduction -off or low. Colour temp -Warm 1. Colour Gamut -Auto Gradient -off ( masks details for smoother fake gradient ). All other processings off

HDR = Filmmaker, Backlight – According to your needs. Local dimming -High. Brightness -50.Contrast -77.Colour -53. Sharpness -0. Ultra Smooth -Custom, J 2, B 0. Nosie Reduction -off. Mpeg Noise reduction -off. Colour temp -Warm 1. Colour Gamut -Auto.Gradient -off. Dynamic Tone-Mapping -On.All other processing off

HDR10Plus = HDR10Plus .Backlight – According to your needs. Local dimming -High. Brightness -50.Contrast -77.Colour -53. Sharpness -0. Ultra Smooth -Custom, J 2, B 0. Nosie Reduction -off. Mpeg Noise reduction -off. Colour temp -Warm 1. Colour Gamut -Auto.Gradient -off. All other processing off

Dolby Vision = Dolby Vision Dark. All other Same to the HDR10Plus profile.

Conclusion = OLED like in Anime ( with great motion definition ) , Outstanding in HDR and HDR10Plus , Great for SDR movies with local dimming on. Good for Dolby Vision, Meh for News and Sports ( Not that great Upscaling and motion and a bit of clouding in sports along with sad viewing angles )

Delivered above and beyond on certain expectations and was below par in certain scenarios. Outstanding, Unheard of value for High Bitrate content ( apart from the meh 24p motion ). However owing to the poor viewing angles and mediocre SDR upscaling, not so easy to recommend for a primary TV. If it meets your needs like mine, Just go for it.

So This is a Review of the HISENSE U7K 55-inch TV Which I Pre-Order on 30 Sept 2023 and delivered to me on 03rd Oct 2023, So This is my Honest Review, Please take some time to read my review, because this review is not written by any kind of sponsor person or an a influencer.

Note 🙂 I give the review based on my uses and what I Fill during day-to-day testing (Playing Gaming & Watching Movies and web Series), so some pros & cons cause to me is not necessary to apply to everyone, this review is by my Personal Vision so here it:-

First Thing First:- Nothing is Perfect, it doesn’t mean U7K is not perfect But it’s so close to Perfect up to 80K Price Range (according to my personal experience).
    Start with Pro’s 🙂

    1) Brightness is so Awesome, Black is Super Awesome and Fills Like OLED unless and until you don’t own OLED.

    2) The Light Sensor and Temperature Sensor are Also Quite Impressive but Need to be improved via Update (Better Explained in Con)

    3) Providing Hands Free Alexa

    4) Supported All Kind of Video Format’s :- HDR 10, HDR 10+, HDR ADAPTIVE, DOLBY VISION, DV+, HLG, with 10bit 4K 120hz VA Panel Display.

    5) Also Talking Picture and Color Optimization out of the box is Best for the Majority of people coz the Brightness/Light Sensor and Temperature Sensor automatically optimize color and temperature with the involvement of AI algorithms.

    6) VIDA OS is such Powerful OS than Google TV OS or Android TV OS. I’m not talking about the App’s Library coz Hisense Provided Amazon Fire Stick 4K for those who miss Android OS, but trust me if you use Vida OS you will never switch back to Fire Stick Again. so in this TV OS is not a concern, the user has a choice to use VIDA or Android Aka Fire-Tv OS. (Hisense Sends me Mistakenly Two Fire-TV-Sticks)

    7) Talking about REMOT, such a beautiful remote provided by Hisense, it Has a soft backlight that by pressing any button at night, it can stand on its own feet. The Remote is Universal I mean it can control any source that you connect to the TV, it can Control Fire-TV, PS4, PS5, Soundbar and many more gadgets you connect to the TV is smoothly controllable for basic uses.

    8) About HDD/USB Drive (Hard Drive or Pen drive or External Source) Performance:- via USB Source Any Video File Format is playable smoothly. All Video Play in the Default Media Player Which is very good we don’t need any third-party media player The media Player Support all kind of Video Format Like 240p to 4K with HDR/SDR, Dolby Vision, HLG, along Multi Audio Support Dolby Audio/Atmos 5.1 (My Soundbar Support Max 5.1 Dolby Audio/Atmos) That’s Very Impressive. The only con is 120hz Videos via USB are not supported (this is not a con, but What I found, I Wrote it) and also USB Port is Quite Fast Fill (Compared to Sony X80 Series USB Port fills Slowly and Real 4k with video format with Dolby 5.1 not truly supported)

    9) support of 2 HDMI 2.1 This thing makes TV Real Future Proof. coz one 2.1 (eArc) port was acquired by Soundbar and One was acquired by a Gaming console.

    10) Talking About Gaming Consoles:- I Tried my PS4 Slim (Jailbreak) Console which by default provides 30fps or maybe times provides 45fps but When I turned on Game Mode with Enhance HDMI Option which allows me to play any games at 1080p with 144/240hz (Hisense Called that HRR Gaming) with the help of AI. But in real life, You can feel the Game Runs very smoothly like around 60+fps. That’s what I feel.

    11) Again I Also owned PS5, the performance of ps5, it totally utilized by Hisense U7K, and that configuration of U7K makes him The Ultimate Gaming TV.

    12) Talking about Up-scaling of OTT/Movie and Playing via USB all type of content fills overall Superb Ex:- 720p Content looks okay (Noise is Clearly Visible) but in 1080p Content Noise is Barely Visible and 2K or 4K Looks Really Great (No one can Finds Noise at all). But I Don’t use Set-up Box so I did not tell how SD or HD Channels are upscale or how they look.

    13) Sound is also good for the majority of people unless and until they want a Cinema Experience then Good Quality of Sound-bar is Must Needed (Good Quality Soundbar means 8-9K and above price-range), I purchased a TV and Zebronics 5.1 Dolby Soundbar same time that’s why I did not talk too much about the sound department.

    Now Times for Con’s 🙂

    1) The Major and First Con is Motion or Ghosting Problems are Noticed very easily, it’s happened to every Fast Moving Object/Scene when watching OTT/Movies, no matter how I watch whether it’s Online or Offline (USB) Motion is not under control Hisense Must have to work in Motion Problems (This Problems Can Solve via OTA Updates), But Temp. Salutation is Tweak some motion setting make it (Custom Profile, That I Found Temp. Salutation unless an until Hisense Not Solve via Update)

    2) Light Sensor is Pro. of this TV but Some Times Sensor is not working Properly, Specially in Night Black Light is always set slightly above the Normal. (Then Some Times Turn off Auto Light Sensor is solves Problems)

    3) Alexa is also one of the Pro of the Tv but Vida Os in not O
on command but can not search any video when we demand to search.

    4) Disney+ Supports 1080p and Diwali is passed on but still, Jio-Cinema has not come (I Hope it comes in early 2024, then this con is deleting ultimately)

    5) VIDA OS Home Screen and Menu (Overall UI) runs at 1080p mode, whether Google/Andriod Os/Web os/Tizen Os on High-End Tv’s Like Sony X90 Series, Samsung Frame TVs, or Oled Tv’s Runs its UI on Proper 4k mode. U7K has very Best Hardware 3 GB RAM, a Powerful Processor, and Fast Storage, but failed to optimize aesthetic looks. in close distances like 4-5 Feet, Pixilation is clearly visible on UI/Menu Settings even in some apps which provided by Hisense Store (by Default). Thankfully these Problems do not come from outer sources like HDMI/USB Mode.

So That’s my Honest Review of my Hisense U7K Mini LED TV, I Love the Features Hisense provides to us, and This is my First Hisense Product and it will give me a perfectly balanced experience. In the past, I used my close ones the Sony X90 Series I know people compare the Hisense U7K to the Sony X90 Series but this is not a correct comparison. Sony X90 Wins each and every department with Hisense. Sony Uses Top-Notch Quality Mini Led which Hisense can never afford at this Price. (Keep in Mind Sony X90 Series selling Price is Twice of Hisense U7K)

I Can Definitely Say Hisense U7K easily Beats the Sony X80K/L Series, Samsung The Frame Series, and Budget LG A2 or A3 Series (only is UI Looks and feel LG wins always coz menu runs at 4k)
That’s how I feel About U7K, I Explain every Pros and cons That I Found in under one and a half months I mentioned above. So Here I wrap up my Review. I Attached My TV Footage and some Video Footage to Understand (Keep in mind I Shoot My Video At 4K 60 But Amazon Video Engine Compress My File So Don’t Judge on the Basis of Video Quality)

Thanks for reading the Entire Review. Hope You Decide What You Have to Purchase According to Your Budget.

Muy buena relación precio – calidad. Vale la pena.

No le pongo 5 estrellas porque el micrófono de google tv se activa con el audio de la misma, por lo que interrumpe las reproducción. Ocurre en raras ocasiones.

I bought this TV during the great Indian festival shopping on 15th Oct.
The TV is serving me fine and I am really impressed with the picture quality it offers in this budget.
The TV has nice contrast, brightness and blacks are also deep. I believe the 55inch is the VA panel and the viewing angles are impressive for VA. The TV build quality is also great, it has matte coating on screen thus there is no reflection as well. It also has game mode with ALLM , I hooked up my PS5 and I enjoyed gaming on it as well.
Hisense is global leader in TV segment all over world but new in the Indian market entry.

    Cons/area of improvement-

    – Need to be more customer centric , I requested my TV installation due get delay by one day or two but the installation engineer canceled my appointment without my approval. I then had to call CC and fix an appointment for which they took another day in NCR
    – I bought TV during the sale where the company was offering one year extended warranty plus 4K Amazon firestick , I got the extended warranty but no firestick which was bummer and disappointing. Company should live upto the promise.
