The dryer when it arrived came with a broken door and then I had to get it replaced. After that I used the dryer regularly during the month of December, and once the summers started I stopped using it for a while. Now as the monsoon period commenced I started using it again regularly and now the dryer is taking 3+ hours to dry a normal load of clothes. I called a technician as well to inspect the problem and he told me that the timer was not working properly, it is under warranty now and I can get it replaced. But, I’ve only used the dryer 20-25 times at the max and the dryer has parts which are not working properly. That means in the long run I’ll end up paying for the parts than I paid for the dryer collectively.

Purchased this from Amazon in 2018. Using extensively for last 3 years without any issues. It won’t require frequent services like washing machines. Very easy to maintain. I used to put maximum load on this dryer, used to tranfer all the clothes from my 8 kg washing machine to this. It never showed any lag in performance and it works like a gem. You may have to set 90 min to 120 minutes if you need cupboard dry clothes.
I haven’t used or tried any other dryers before, but after 3 years of usage, I am very happy about the purchase of this IFB dryer.

It’s been a Year that we have been using it. It’s definitely a very useful appliance. A clothes dryer is not the normal buy in India. It can’t be because we are blessed with Sunlight and Good weather. So go for a dryer only if you live in cities where drying place is a problem in your home, if you stay at relatively humid coastal places like Mumbai or Chennai, if you just can’t wait for drying clothes normally although you don’t have space constraints…… So it’s An investment that calls for appreciation at your end.
Now, IFB is the name associated with clothes washing machine since long. Probably, only IFB makes and markets a separate Clothes dryer in India. A combined washer and dryer is provided by other brands but at high cost and the drying may still be not 100%. So you may consider buying a dryer.
All is okay with the machine and the main function is fantastically done.
Only issue I have faced is in its installation: IFB doesn’t honour its installation on wall mounting. For that they would charge an extra 3000/- bucks.
Those who would look for employing their own resources, please use the supplied Wall Mounting brackets. Drill holes exactly on the template supplied. Use about 1.5 to 2 inches screws (6 nos) and then simply hang the machine by the slots on back body. You May also keep the dryer on a platform on the wall without hanging it.
I hope they would have made a simpler wall mounting bracket and arrangement as done by many foreign machines.
I hope, like the washing machine, IFB dryer won’t require any servicing for years. Servicing by authorised IFB guys is a serious problem.
But for the purpose that I bought it for, it’s just perfect.

I purchased this dryer in September of 2016, and after nearly seven years of regular use, I thought I’d share my review. I use this dryer at least once a day, and I’m happy to report that I haven’t encountered any issues with it. It did take me a little while to figure out the optimal settings for my clothes, but once I did, using the dryer has been a breeze.
One of my favorite features is that I can use fabric softeners on my clothes, which leaves them smelling fresh for an extended period of time. Additionally, I haven’t experienced any damage to my clothes, except for the occasional shrinkage which is always temporary. The best part, however, is that as soon as the clothes are done drying, I remove them from the dryer and hang them up. As a result, I don’t need to iron my clothes as often.
Overall, I highly recommend this dryer. For a purchase price of only 20000, this is a steal considering the amazing quality and reliability I’ve experienced over the last seven years. Your clothes will always smell great, and you’ll save time by avoiding ironing. It’s a fantastic purchase that every household should consider.

The product seems fine as of now. Delivered on time by AMAZON, the installation was delay and not up to the mark but the product is ok.

There is no doubt that IFB is an excellent dryer. I have used one for 15 years with breakdowns only 2 or 3 times.
This new machine was delivered on time, but I was shocked to see that despite there being no information anywhere on the product page regarding wall mounting charges (I went through all the details and links thoroughly), I was told I would have to pay Rs. 1500 for this. Calls to Amazon didn’t help.
The worst part was that the guy who came to install was about to leave without even fixing the exhaust pipe. He then goes ahead and tells my person that since wall mounting is not being done, he will take the wall mounting plate and screws. He even took the base bushes, all probably to sell it to some other client. I called and insisted he return them, he first pretended he didn’t have them. Luckily, I got these back and I provided feedback to IFB as well regarding service people who are ruining their name.
3 stars could’ve been 5 as it’s a great product, but 2 lost for a poor installation team.

This was a value for money purchase during the Amazon sale. I wish a bigger capacity option was available though. The clothes dryer works well. However, it’s way too noisy and we have placed it at our kitchen terrace to cut down the noise reaching the living room and bedrooms. Still, this was the cheapest option available if you compare with other brands in the market excluding the ones such as Koryo where I could foresee service-related issues.
Update after four months – The dryer drum became loose and was touching the base. It took six days for the engineer to show up to fix. He said this happens due to overload which I am surprised with since we can’t stuff that many clothes in the tiny drum. Anyhow, just a heads up to be careful with the load.
