IFB 6.5 kg 5 Star Fully-Automatic Front Loading Washing Machine (Senorita WXS, Silver, In-Built Heater, 3D Wash Technology)

Part1: Delivery experience
– Amazon delivered a very old unit, its of Jan 2018(21 months old) and the package was dirty with cardbox broken from bottom
– Delivery agent handled machine roughly, he dragged the product whereas the second guy was just watching the scene
– Delivery agent denied for ‘Open Box Inspection’ stating its not his job and when I had shown him the mentioned note on the product page “Eligible for Free Open Box Inspection” he spoke to his senior on phone who also denied stating they do not have this right and are not instructed to open the box

Part2: Continued troubles from IFB
– After the machine was delivered I got an sms with ticket number for installation. Later at end of day, IFB updated it to pending due to customer appointment/re-scheduled without any communication with me.
– After escalation and spoiling Dhanteras festive mood, next day a guy came at his own time without checking my feasibility. Anyways, I was at home though busy with Diwali decoration. He asked me that everyone installs after diwali and why I am doing now.
– He was in super hurry and did a quick installation and denied changing inlet pipe of old machine stating that he will do later and the old machine’s pipe will work for now
– When I asked him to explain/ demo he said you will learn with experience and there is nothing for him to explain
– Next he said to get stand, cover and front load detergent from him. As I feel washing machine is for long term use, I agreed for these. His next day was not over after 7days till I had to keep escalating.
– He did not fill in the necessary warranty cards. In fact there was no paper/pen work at all. Update: After lot of discussion on this, they filled with a pen but no seal was put on and they said verbally that warranty is just with mobile number, no need of paper work.
– Machine is producing a lot of noise during operation
– After the process has ended some foam remains on the glass and also some water remains inside the detergent tray.

Conclusion:
– Pricing is not attractive as they did not give the free product(a microwave oven) thus its the same price as offline stores.
– During sale, online vendors sell old products
– Go for LG/Samsung products only who have wide network and are common home brands in India
– Within a week IFB has shown its true colors
– IFB visitors do not have the dress and the i-card which they claim is the identity of genuine IFB guys. So be aware and allowing anyone to enter inside home is entry to possible troubles.
– For emails IFB neither reply nor try to fix any issue.
– I am investing my time here to share my experience so as no one else who reads this wastes his/her hard earned money.

Product is good. Amazon delivery is awesome. They delivered it within time and without any scratches.

However, IFB service is pathetic. No professionalism. The guy come along with 10-12 years old child to help him. He sold me duplicate machine stand for Rs.1600. I asked him to wear mask due to this COVID-19 pandemic, but he didn’t listened to me.

In the washing appliances segment, there is no alternative to IFB. And after going through several other products in this segment I also confer on this statement. But really disappointed with the installation engineer who visited our house.
The visit by an engineer is all about scaring the customer so that he can sell the additional accessories which included
1. Power Switch (comment by the engineer was that there is power surge issue in the entire area and using machine without is too dangerous. I stay in sam area and using my current washing machine w/o such equipment since last 10 years
2. Water flow controller ( comment by the engineer was, water pressure is too high and can damage or blast the pipe. He is the first guy to say that washing machine require less water pressure. Either he does not trust the quality of the product or he is lying)
3. Washing Machine Trolley (First Washing Machine engineer to recommend the trolley. My earlier all guys advised against the trolly to prevent damage during high spin)

Only suggestion after my experience is not to fall to these selling techniques and trust the quality of IFB

4 star is not for the product but for bad installation experience

I got Machine in perfect condition with no damage and next day it got installed by IFB. Although I was having IFB centre number so I called him personally after raising a ticket to customer care. Now used it for almost a week, perfect washing with no issues. I got it in 26400, value for money.
