The kettle delivered to me started rusting this was replaced and even the replacement started to rust. I was given a refund. IKEA washes its hands off in cases where it’s products are purchased through resellers.Not a good buy.

The kettle stopped whistling in a week. Apparently the spout broke. But neither amazon nor the seller have been able to help. Didn’t expect this from an ikea product.

The kettle works fine and the quality of the steel is fine. The handle has a good design and trendy look. The whistle is attached to the spout and whistles properly as long as you pour the right qantity of water. However, as soon as it whistles , one should take it off the stove because keeping it for long makes the handle slightly hot. The is bound to happen as the black handle is attaches to the steel body. These kettles are safer to use than the electric ones and the water too has a different taste. A good product!
