I purchased this to replace my faulty prestiege induction. What I observed is it is very noisy whilr operating compared to prestige. Pros – it is compact. Cons- the glass area is small and the buttons are not that responsive. The pre programmed list is fine ,but choosing manual mode is lil difficult and could have more options.

I bought “KENT – 16036 Induction Cooktop KAG-01 2000-Watt (Black)” about 3 months ago and now it’s not working at all.

I wanted to claim a warranty for the product. When I complained to the manufacturer regarding this, their response was- you have to come to our service center which is okay, but which is also about 200KMs far from my home. If I go there it would cost me more than the product’s cost and about 10-12hrs of time. I would never go that far for the warranty. I want my warranty with pick and drop as it was shipped to me from the company.

If a product can be delivered to our homes, then why can’t the warranty be covered from home. I would have gone to their service center if it was within a 10 to 20KMs radius. But for that far distance, they should provide a warranty with the help of some logistic services like pick and drop.

    It is amazon’s responsibility as a seller…
I think it is Amazon’s responsibility that it should consider the product’s maintenance till the warranty period before selling any product. If I am choosing to buy a product online then why should I go 200KMs for its warranty or replacement. If a product can be delivered to someone’s home then the warranty-related issues should also be resolved from home by pick and drop. It is very easy to ship and drop a product to any corner of the world. But you should also take care of warranty-like problems for remote places.

    It’s all Amazon’s Fault…
Why does Amazon take orders from such remote places if you can’t serve complete services?

It is very easy for Amazon to set rules for “Kent” like companies that if a product can be shipped to buyer’s home then the warranty services should also be provided to home by pick and drop.
So-called customer care service people don’t behave the same way when we call to buy an item, their tone changes when it comes to warranty or other services.

    It’s really not my fault…
If I am buying a product with one year warranty then I need security for one year and I don’t need to spend any extra penny on its warranty or on traveling 200KMs.

If companies like “Kent” provide a warranty for their products at their service center then they also should sell their products only at service centers. It should not be like “give us money we’ll come to you with the items to your doorstep no matter where you live, it will also have a badge of one year warranty but if anything happens to the item during that period you have to reach us with your item on our service center which is far far away from your home ”.

    My Story…
I belong to a rural place in India my parent don’t believe in online shopping stuff and all. When I went to study in a big city from there my buying stuff online started when I saw my friend buying items online and knew its workings. But for my parents, it was hard to believe that something can be bought online and getting not defected products or not used products or good customer supports. It was very hard to make them believe but somehow I convinced them that Amazon is trustworthy with great customer service satisfaction, they still didn’t believe in it but they believed in me and I started buying items from my home’s address. By seeing me buying stuff online more people from my village asked me about its workings and started buying stuff online, I also have bought many items with my own account that were not so sure how to buy.

    Belief is shaken…
My parents somehow just had started believing in buying stuff online before becoming their belief strong, it got broken forever. Their belief is already shaken now they are mocking me for warranty issues, I don’t know how should I face them in this situation.
Thank you, Amazon for making me so helpless!

    Request to the people…
My request is from the people who live in rural areas and cities that don’t buy this product online before checking its warranty service policy, maybe you have also to go for 500KMs for claiming its warranty at its service center. Services centers of many products are only in big cities and it can cost more than that item. We live in a world where sellers are ready to sell their products in any region of the world. They will come to sell the item at your place, but when it comes to warranty you have to go to their place. What kind of hypocrisy is this?

Horrible experience. Please don’t by this kent product. There is no service center for Induction cooktop. When i called customer care, they directed me to a centre, where service is given for water purifier only.

Came is slightly smashed package ( Since corona most of my packets from amazon are getting beat up) ….Product inside was intact!
Plastic on the back feels cheap ( I think its less heavy … its has slight cheap plasticy smell when you take out of the package …nothing to worry ). Edges are not finished well ( some sealant leak of something in one edge see the picture attached ) .
But top glass portion looks nice! …Buttons are touch (which is very sensitive and cool looking)
One more issue I found is with the interface . If u look at the picture u can see several modes but only the bottom portion ones are the buttons. There is toggle switch to select the modes … This thing doesn’t remember anything so every time you have to press the toggle switch couple of times, it always defaults at first . There is also a “one button ” switch which always defaults to fry (which is the high power mode).
Its heating faster works well! ….. Not that premium or anything!
