Needed the downlight for a room with little other light.
Pros first:
+ low price – Purchased as the lowest price fan that has a downlight.
+Downlight is 10W – bright.
+ Installed easily by my building electrician.
+ Low noise, remote control for light and fan speed.
+No need for regulator on the switch box.
+ Looks sleek and the red color is not too obtrusive.
Cons
– Big problem after 2 years, the light automatically shuts off, along with the fan. After a few seconds, you can start the fan, or the light, but if you do both – in 10-15 minutes again, light and fan switch off
– The lights are white LED on a panel/strip that seems custom. So if you want a warmer light (not white) – it is harder to replace. If there were a standard bulb socket, or some easier mechanism
– Also, the remote has to be pointed to the fan for it to work, requires a little bit of patience.

I was researching alot for ceiling fans with good functions. And finally I bought Lumaire and this is so good, especially for a lazy person like me.
This has everything I wanted in my ceiling fan. It’s easy to clean, it’s fast, it has Led light, it has a remote, and great looks. It makes my home beautiful.
You can use it as only fan, or you can just use LED or you can use both.

Remote was missing so I returned, not working in first place without remote as the speed control and light feature are mainly meant for remote only. By looks it looks not so hardy, or elegant compared to orient ones, though the price is cheaper.

Extra noise when fan in slow when speed is low.
After complaint customer care team arranged for new fan replacement and and within 2 week received new fan and it’s working fine.

I compared this with Orient fan and decided to buy it due to significant price difference. The reasons show up in product quality and after sales service.
a. Light is cool daylight and of low lumens. Orient has multiple colour choices
b. Remote does not work. I have changed batteries multiple times since my July purchases but its not been of any use.
c. Using the Amazon- seller query option here has also proved to be futile.
d. I tried the 18001033039 number of Luminous provided by Amazon. I have never been able to get thru. Its constantly busy at whatever time one tries.
Do think thru when making purchases online especially on products that are not moveable once fitted. And do compare brands and quality very carefully.
Fwiw, I also bought the Orient for another room . I got it from a regular store. Zero problems with the product plus I have a place to contact if there is a problem.

The fan was delivered without any external damage, but its body was broken, as my Electrician wanted to fit it. The light, remote, motor everything is fine. Complained to Luminous and they promised to correct or replace to my satisfaction. Good Amazon and Luminous proves that it is a customer oriented company.
The repair did not last a d same issue cropped ba K. Gifted blades to children for their decoration during festivals, Body fetched some money from the KabadiwLa. This must have been an exception, otherwise other Luminous fans are working fine.
