I long anticipated the launch of the Mivi DuoPods A25 TWS, and ordered them just after a few hours of launch, only to receive a defective product. The charging case was not working, and the audio was abysmal beyond measures.
The replacement unit received works much better.
Battery: Battery backup is good. The charging case can charge the earpods at least 3-4 times over. Mivi claims a 7.5+ on the earpods on a single charge, but you’ll easily get around 5+ hours (which is not bad). Do note the LED indicator both the pods and the charging case, as I heard many people got a faulty charging case.
Fit and comfort: The design is great, something reminiscent of the Apple Airpods Pro. The earpods fit snugly, and won’t fall off usually even during jogging. It is very light, and should feel comfortable during prolonged usage too. The extra silicone eartips ensure a good fit for most ears. The charging case is compact too, and can easily fit your pockets. The earpods fit and charge magnetically onto them, and hold on pretty firmly. I would mention though that the lid of the charging case, specially the hinge, feels rather flimsy. So a little precaution while opening and closing it is recommended.
It is also rated IPX4, so although not ‘true water resistant’, it should sustain light splashes and sweat. Do not go around gallivanting in the rain for prolonged a prolonged time though.
Audio quality: This was a disappointment. The first unit (as I mentioned earlier) had one of the worst sound qualities I’d ever heard on a wireless earphone -extremely distorted and muddy bass and non existent treble.
The replacement is much better, but is still an average quality. The bass packs a punch, but again, is not fine tuned so feels muddy on certain tracks. The treble is better, and the vocals are ‘acceptable’. I do recommend switching on AAC if your phone allows it, and expect a slightly better audio.
It is worth noting that Mivi earlier specified these to have a 6mm driver, but later confirmed that it is a 10mm one.
Overall, the audio was pretty average for what I expected and have heard on previous Mivi products. In comparison, my Boult Audio Storm wired earphones that cost 300 rupees sound superior (and I know you may find my comparison of a wired piece to a TWS ‘blasphemy’, but given the price of 1.2k, the Mivi Duopods should have done better). Calls were clear enough indoors, although do not expect magic in outdoor and slightly noisy settings.
These also come with touch controls on the earpods, although my unit was overtly sensitive, and changed songs even with the slightest of touch.
Connectivity: No issues here. Bluetooth 5.0 works like a charm, and the pairing is fast.
Overall verdict: With a good design, decent set of features, an average audio quality, the Mivi Duopods A25 is a good entry if you want a cheap TWS with a great design and can compromise on audio a bit. (It is worth noting that your sound preferences may vary, and my sister found these pretty decent for everyday use, and so did some of my friends. So if you are not very nitpicky with audio signatures, this can be a good introduction to TWS for you).

Sound quality is nice, but built quality seems little weak. Maybe mivi is more focused on upgrading sound experience. Overall the product is good.

Well it’s worth the price, the sound is pretty flat the bass is cheap, cheap plastic body, no multiple device connectivity which is standard at this point, mic is cheap and flat with low volume, don’t buy for music you’re gonna hate it, buy only if you want to listen to podcast or something, overall (3/5) I ordered for the color only but they disappointed so much in that regard it hurts to see this flat dull maroon of a color rather than cherry red, but koi na I’ll paint this myself, “bacche ki jaan loge (700-800) m”
