Bought this to run dual sim since the US version doesn’t offer that. The phone itself feels no real different than my oneplus 9, though there are some weird issues, not even bugs, just design choices. One of them is that data is turned off by default when you are on the phone, what year are we? 2005? You have to turn this off in mobile settings under advanced. Even with that turned off, data will drop for 2-3 seconds after ending a call. These things suck but I can deal with it. My real problem is the compatibility with AT&T, I use att and tello, tello uses tmobile. On my previous 2 phones (one plus 8 and 9) the att connection was much better and could use 5g. 5g does not work with att on this phone and the connection is shotty and drops if you leave the inner city. The tmobile connection works fine though. I guess I’m going to have to drop my att number and just use tmobile networks on this phone.

The OnePlus 10 Pro is a great premium all-around phone – it has a good-looking screen, fast charging and powerful internals. The cherry on the cake is that it costs less than other Pro phones, making it an incredibly tempting choice. However, its Achilles’ Heel is the camera experience – there are a few problems with both the hardware and software that might put off passionate photographers.
Additionally, the upgrades to the OnePlus 10 Pro come at nearly the same price as the OnePlus 9 Pro. However, the OnePlus 10 Pro seemed more like a solid upgrade over the 9 Pro rather than a worthy successor. I didn’t find the experience all that different. There’s definitely room for improvement in the camera department, particularly on the front. OnePlus is still playing catch-up to Samsung and Apple when it comes to camera performance and that seems to be the only thing holding it back.

    Conclusion:

I must admit, I had low expectations for the OnePlus 10 Pro but ended up enjoying it more than the OnePlus 9 Pro. That’s primarily because I didn’t face any heating issues and the performance was tuned really well. This was a major problem with the 9 Pro last year. Plus, Oxygen OS 12 works absolutely beautifully on this phone and I am certain OnePlus will make a comeback with Oxygen OS 13, with a more streamlined design. The cameras are good enough, the display is fantastic, battery life is as good as it gets with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, fast charging is mad fast – what more could one really want for the price of about Rs 70,000?

IP rating, you say? Are you hearing that OnePlus?

Now, I wouldn’t go so far as to say that this is the comeback phone for OnePlus but it is a more refined experience compared to the OnePlus 9 Pro. That’s for sure. Which is a step in the right direction.

What do you folks think? Let me know in the comments below.

    mediocre product
    battery life decline
so-called 12GB RAM that only functions as 4GB
    Not a fantastic camera.

Above is an honest relative user’s evaluation, and for the same price, there are a lot more alternatives available, so don’t be biassed with so-called oneplus products.

Screen developed scratches on day 2 itself. My previous OP7T had a rugged screen which is highly resistant to scratches. Refurbished maybe?

Sorry, really stupid of me. The phone came with a screen guard which developed scratches. But, the interface is slightly different now. Also, there’s no option to select a separate alert tone for SMS.

After using cheap phones which costs less than 10k (coolpad, moto, lenovo) i made a big leap and got my first costly phone Oneplus 8 pro around 1.5 years back. It costed me around 47k and i had to plead with my parents even though i was buying with my own savings. It was THE MOST amazing phone i had even used up until then. I used to be a bit embarrassed of my phone at college and work place but now i would leave my phone on the desk so that everyone can look at it ;D. And few days back i was itching to upgrade my phone after looking at all the features of the 10 pro. So i gave my phone to my mother (there was no issues at all woth the phone. Infact i never had to take it to a service centre to get it repaired or no software issue. None). Maybe because i hadnt used costly phones and i wasn’t useing it to the full potential. Anyways, after upgrading i just cant stop myself from picking up the phone only to scroll through my apps and settings and again set it down to focus on work.
Its an absolute amazing machine and it was a no brainer decision for me to buy this instead of the iphone 12 which i could have got at this price or a few bucks more or less. I dont want to sit next to the outlet charging my phone for an hour or so. The features in this phone are far more useful than those in iphone. But yes i do know iphone has its own benefits.
The only thing that bothers me is that though most of the models are made in India, at the end of the day they are chinese brands. And recently the ED has attached crores of funds under the FEMA act and PMLA act for repatriating huge profits which are taxable in India. So somewhere i feel like by buying this phone i am contributing to the loss of tax revenue from my government. I really hope soon there will be an absolute gem of a machine from an Indian brand pretty soon.
