FM is very bad. Please dont call this item a fm radio. I purchased for my mother but fm receiving signal is very worst. Very i recommend if want to use ad sd card player then take, else dont buy for only FM purpose .

The unit goes off in two minutes and does not suit carrying for walking. Sound quality ok but what is the use if it goes off within a minute or two. Not satisfied, not at all worthy or useful, please refund not interested in replacement.

I bought this product for Rs 973/- (SELLER – WIDGETS INDIA). Though am not happy as I got the black color where as I ordered the red product but overall am quite happy with the product otherwise ( Ratong is for the product and not seller). Before coming to pros & Cons some pointers that may help the potential buyers.
• PACKAGE CONTENTS – Speaker, Micro USB cable, BL-5C Lithium-Ion battery (800mAh), User manual, strap.
• This is primarily a FM radio which can act as a speaker for music by putting micro SD card. If you are looking for a speaker mainly then I would suggest to go for portronics pure sound.
• The battery lasts me for abt 5 hours FM playback on medium volume. Takes about 1 hr to charge using 5v/1000A adapter. (WARNING – Do not keep on charge for more than 4 hrs as stated in the manual).
• Supports upto 32GB of Micro SD card. Has 3 ports on the side. Micro USB port (Charging and Card reading ), Headphones out, micro SD card slot.
• Under charging, the low and full battery will flash alternatively.
• The product is imported from China. MRP is Rs 1299/-
Pros:
– The biggest plus is its compact size. Just to emphasize I have attached a picture comparing it to my 5.5” smartphone.
– The sound is sufficient for use in a single room. Sound does not break even at high volumes.
– It has a rechargeable battery which can be charged using an Android smartphone micro USB charger (5V/1000mA). You can find a new battery easily if required in any mobile shop.
– The look and feel of the plastic body and buttons is decent. Not the best but certainly not cheap.
– The LED display is quite handy to check the battery level, FM station or a Song being played using micro SD. Keypad is useful in switching between FM stations/micro SD files.
– Comes with an user manual which is short but helpful. The product though is quite user friendly.
Cons:
– The only thing I didn’t like is the heavy signal breakage is FM reception while charging. In other words FM wont be clear while charging. But still this is a minor issue and I will rate it 5 stars
If not the best then certainly this is one of the best FM speakers around currently.

Great things come in small packages. It definitely applies for this red hot radio by Portronics. I bought it for my Mom who loves listening to radio. This is super portable (fits in her small purse) so she happily carries it with her wherever she travels. Sound is very loud and clear for what you pay. Don’t expect Bose quality of course but it’s very clear and loud enough. It can be charged using the standard usb so your mobile charger will work and no need to carry a separate charger. I also bought Portronics Pure Sound POR 102 after this one for myself. I find this one better than POR 102. This one has a digital display and you know what station is currently playing. Using the number keys, you can also enter the station. I miss the digital display and number keys big time on POR 102. So if you are confused between the two, go with this one without second thought. The sound quality doesn’t differ much between the two. In fact, POR 102 more bass but it comes at the cost of vocal clarity so overall, this has better sound quality. Also, POR 102 uses a charger that’s different from usb mobile charger so you cannot use your mobile charger with that. So you have to carry that cable separately, which is inconvenient. So go for this one without any second thought. Highly recommended.
