Assuming you have a fully TRRS ‘pipeline’ for what you’re doing, this is super terrific, exactly the right size and shape for my needs, and just makes me happy in little ways that it exists.
That being said, I was under the impression that it would actively mix the MIC signals directly through to the earbud output, as well as into the device’s MIC IN (live monitoring, without requiring lag-less loop-around from the phone or tablet). It’s possible this is in there, but I haven’t seen evidence of it yet. As far as I can tell, the earbud output is literally just a straight through connection from the device’s output.
That being said, if the manufacturers read reviews.
1) Thank you for making this, and things like it!, and
2) Please add the following:
* the output jack should be a mix of the device output and at least one of the mic inputs (directly, for lag-less monitoring)
* an actual slider wheel to control the level of that mix would be appreciated, so long as the box shape was unchanged 🙂
* do it for both mics, independently, for bonus points.
* and accept LINE OUT level signals on the Mic in ports, automatically, without distortion
This would require some active circuitry inside the dongle, and the challenge of powering it from the device without introducing noise. I’m sorry.
But don’t let that detract from my satisfaction over the SC6. It’s almost perfect!

I use these regularly with two rode lapel mics and iphone for quick interview shoots. Works perfectly well. I am able to easily connect this directly into the DSLR

It works great with two Boya mics and Headphone. However the Headphone can not be used for monitoring.

Item is very good but price little high

Work reliably but very expensive in India. I paid close to 5000 INR (74 USD)
Rode should start supplying here instead of using Amazon shipping

This is a very tricky product.
It will work with Lav+ Mics and other rode products. It will not work with any product that is not TRRS. It also conducts no power.
It will also not work with full functionality if you used 2 iphone headsets or any other kind of cheap/not fittingly programmed headset. I tried using it with my apple headset mics, and it would only play one mic… Specifically the last one plugged in or the the mic emitting the strongest signal.
It can work with other mics that are not RODE, it does work with my VOJO+ hotline, which is an adapter designed to use your cellphone in your car via auxiliary. Both mics work, so I’m guessing if you use professional grade TRRS mics and or mics designed for TRRS input with an auxiliary output.
Initially, I was not happy with the product because I thought you could only use RODE specific products with it. But that’s actually not the case… It also records to your iphone voice recorder app and RODE REC app. It will also work and record with specific video apps that allow you to record video with an external mic which most cellphones video recording functions do not allow or have access to in settings.

Dual TRRS is good but the head phone is not for live moniter.
