To clarify the rating, I am giving it 4 stars only because Sennheiser stopped 275s (costed 1.5k) and now you need to buy 300s with 3k as their entry-level with mic earphones. I am highly amazed by the sound quality as expected. The sound profile is nicely balanced. Highs (treble), lows (bass), and especially mids are very good. The source separation is great. The loudness is okay. The mic is also good and does not catch much noise. No ANC, but pretty good fit in the ear which coupled with the loud and clear sound make ambient noises disappear. A good buy but a bit costly which, considering its 2 years of warranty looks like a value for money (only if one does not know about 275s. RIP. 🙁 ). Addicted to sennheiser.

First point to say is this earphones gives very low sound for mobile users unless they got louder volume support on their mobiles. Voice clarity is great and mic is also very good.
This earphones is most suitable for DACs which got inbuilt amplifier like Sony NW-A55 walkman I got. Minimum of 80 to 95 points volume is necessary to listen clear and great sound from the earphones .
This earphones output is uncolored and unchanged. Instruments and vocals are clear with correct level of low and high bass. This clarity is only achieved by putting correct size of buds to earphones. Do not blame manufacturer for low bass. Sound stage and echoes are extra-ordinary that I didn’t hear in any earphones till now (Sennheiser 180 street ii, 275s, momentum, Sony XB55AP, Philips, KZ Zsn Pro etc are inferior in terms of sound stage and echoes comparing to this ). Do not come to opinion on first use as it needs 25 hours of burning before you get real output. Comfort of earphones is very good and lite in weight like you can sleep listening to it. Higher volume do not pierce your ears as this earphones maintain the balance.
The songs must have come from good source with minimum bit rate of 256 kbps for mp3 and 1 mbps for Flac and other highres audio formats (donno about them).
Final conclusion is that there are some pre-requisites you need before buying these earphones.
1) A mobile or walkman that supports louder volume or have some amplifier for them.
2) Music from a good source.
3) Correct earbud fitting your ear to give correct sound.
Some things expected from manufacturer are a braided cable, better quality ear buds for this price.

So i never bought any earphones which costs above 1000rs but i really wanted to buy Sennheiser earphone for a very long time to experience the true music quality so i bought it and ….. i’m a bit disappointed. I compared this earphone with the Realme buds 2 wired, here’s what i found :
Sennheiser cx 300s has lower base volume than the realme buds 2,
Sennheiser cx 300s’s build quality is really great as compared to realme buds 2 due to price difference ofcourse,
Noise cancellation in Sennheiser cx 300s is amazing as compared to realme buds 2.
Sennheiser cx300s has plain bass where realme buds 2 has good bass or i must say the actual bass, not too low not too extra,
Sennheiser cx 300s mic’s voice capturing is really bad, you have to bring it so close, i mean really close to your mouth so that the person on the other side during the call can hear your voice whereas in realme buds 2 mic easily beats in term of voice capturing,
Sennheiser cx 300s has crystal clear voice quality when you speak through the mic as compared to the realme buds 2 but its just behind the Sennheiser cx300s, but remember in Sennheiser cx300s you have to put it very close to your mouth to get that crystal clear and crisp voice.
The sound quality is really good in Sennheiser cx300s its also crystal clear as compared to realme buds 2 but you’ll miss lil amount bass in Sennheiser and also it has lower base volume, i know the way to make you understand so suppose i’m playing any music at 20% volume in realme buds 2 , but then for the same music i have to increase the volume to 30 or 40% in Sennheiser cx300s to get the equivalent sound level.
*FINAL THOUGHTS*
Realme buds 2 which was older version, the newer version which is realme buds 2 neo wired which costs 500rs something, Sennheiser cx 300s costs 2500rs if you grab it during offer
period otherwise 3400rs. In my opinion the Sennheiser cx 300s is not worth more than 2000rs. Its a bit pricey , you’ll be happy with the 500rs realme buds 2 neo and it won’t disappoint you.
I DON’T RECOMMEND BUYING IT because you will always get good build quality at this price range in any earphones but its about other things too like mic quality, sound quality, noise cancellation etc. Just find any better earphone than this at this price range (2500-3400) rather than Sennheiser cx 300s. That’s all i can say thanks for reading!

Review after 3 monts usage …So the thing about this product firstly is that it can deliver some rich sound that cannot be picked up by other earphones at this price range .
Cons . 1 – price is quite high
2- sound is not that loud
3- not a bass powered earphone
4- the gold in headphone jack sheds off easily after 2,3 months
Pros .
1- quite comfortable for long 4,5 hours usage ( sennheiser cx 180 best ) ( sony mdr xb 55 worst )
2- richness of sound
3- decent wire quality ( sony mdr xb 55 best ) ( sennheiser cx 180 worst)
4- L shaped 3.5 mm connector gold

I’ve been using Sennheiser earphones since many years solely because of how comfortable they were and how well they fit in my ears. But this earphone has a completely different earbud tip design, it’s uncomfortable and also falls out easily while being so much more expensive than the previous models I had purchased. I didn’t find any improvement in audio either that would justify this price.
