Many say CX213 is better in sound quality then CX180. But frankly, I noticed the opposite. I have been used CX180 for the past 5 years and it was good. I have purchased CX213 in recent and these are my feedbacks when I compared two at the same time:
    1. Bass quality softly lands in the ear and so bass is more pleasant to the ear compared to CX180. This is the feature shouted aloud about CX213 against its sibling CX180. But this is the only new story about CX213 with my experience.
    2. Yeah one more quality, noise cancelation. This works well overall and seems upper hand here.
    3. Other parts of the sound such as vocal and other frequencies around it are suppressed at the cost of increasing bass effect. I didn’t expect it in quality products. I am disappointed at this point. Raising bass or treble is usually done in cheap chinse products.
    4. There is a double wire longing towards the phone jack, one for each earpiece internally. Now, some people say this adds to the strength against wear and tear. But I can’t say it for sure as CX180 has one single wire running still it should have the same strength. But I am not sure about internal copper wire strength change if there is any. So I can’t comment on it but don’t see any significant improvement as such here.
    5. Look wise, earpiece are completely identical, just the junction of two earpieces to become a single wire further is slightly different.
    6. I do sing as well in my free time. And so lyrics are important for me. I felt it was not good to concentrate on vocal and lyrics by the extra bass keeping more room for itself without caring about the poor singer’s ultimate effort he put in making his audibility extraordinary. Not justified by CX213 by not having the right balance.

For me, extra bass in sound is disturbance and I like CX180 more. But who is a bass freak they would like it more?

I have a Jbl c200si compared to that the lows and mids have high volume and better quality, but the base and highs are tend to mix which makes it little bit awkward when you listen to rock, metal or pop songs.

But at instrumental, classic, jazz or vocal songs(bollywood and kollywood) songs or music this earphones have better clarity than jbl c200si.

Coming to the base on this earphone sometimes i can’t differentiate from base and highs and the base i also not punchy as jbl, my opinion is that the base is not refined as jbl headphones, though the sound is and vocals are clear than jbl but it is not crystal clear as most of the reviews that exaggerates.

The build quality is very cheap and the wire looks very thin and the earphones doesn’t feel premium in the hands such as the Jbl, Sony or even boat earphones.
But some of my friends using sennheiser for more than 2 years which shows its build quality in the real time so I bought this.
My jbl after 8 months of usage one side base driver became Little louder than the other which makes my head hurt that is the reason I bought another earphone and the control button was also malfunctioned within 2 months so I gone to micless earphones.
If you’re looking for an upgrade from a earphone which is also this range earphone i won’t recommend upgrading you won’t feel much difference. If you are upgrading from a earphones from below 500 price range or looking for your first earphones you can buy this but if you need mic go for jbl c100 or 200 si.

Finally the cable length pretty long for me and the earphones are very light weight.

Best bank for buck right now definitely, I use it to listen to music solely and it sounds great and the bass is very prominent in the earphones if you’re one of those bass enthusiasts. They are very durable too, I have fallen asleep with the headphones so many times since my purchase and the headphones are still great as new, no cuts on the cable or anything. One of my fav purchases in a while definitely.

The Sennheiser CX series iems are a legend in the iem category and the CX213 proves it beyond all doubt. What stands out is the abundant/ loud and clear sound coming out from such tiny earphones. It’s very comfortable. It has a unique sound signature that even the costlier sennheiser earphones don’t have but not every one will like its type of sound. The sound isolation is superb and you will love to play them really loud for long hours and thats where all the problems began for me. I could not hear anybody knocking on my door which is crtically important for me. I use open back full size cans more often due to this reason. Due to safety reasons do not wear these while going out as the sound is immersive and you will not hear any ambient noise making it hazardous. Best sounding iems I have heard till date overall. The design is great but the wires could have been fifty percent thicker. As things stand the wires tend to tangle and is a con. They have to be pushed deep in the ears and use the right size ear tips because if they dont make an air tight fit then the sound sucks with iems. Major con is that it can be difficult to differentiate between the left earphone and the right earphone as they look identical and the markings on them to differentiate the two is too small to easily read. A must buy if you are an audio enthusiast. An important finding having owned them for a long time is that If don’t use these earphones for a duration of one year then you have to do a burn in preferably using a headphone burnin app for 40 hours at 80 percent volume to get these to sound right all over again. This is found with a few other earphones as well but not all of them and not to this extent. Between this and the street 2, go for the CX 213 if you value more of that unique sound signature otherwise go for the Street 2 as it’s cheaper and is more balanced in its sound. The Street 2 although good and many will say it sounds better but some how I prefer the CX 213.
