The theatre sound of these is impressively realistic and the RF range is very good. They also tend to provide very good sound isolation (you will have to take them off to talk to other people). I love the fact these still use rechargeable AAA batteries (easy to eventually replace). However, I bought three of these and feel I way overpaid for them, and not just because the price has dropped. I hate the deep recharge port in the middle of the band – it literally digs into my skull. I have had other Sennheisers with similar headbands which did not dig into my skull. Also, the ear pads get pretty hot while wearing. I purchased a $40 pair of after-market cool pads and they were a great improvement – wish the headphones came with them. If I put a pad under the charging port and have the after-market pads on, they are quite comfortable to wear for long periods.
