If you are looking for something to use for vlogging or just for quick photos and videos without using your phone, this is the one for you!
This camera is great for beginner vloggers and for use as a family camcorder to avoid using phone storage. I purchased this camera to take nice photos and start vlogging; however, I was not impressed with the photo quality. The auto focus is great, but the picture quality and video quality are not exactly pristine. I would say a step above an iPhone camera at best. I did not use this camera for several hours at a time, so I cannot speak on continued-use battery; however, the battery does die while not in use. Each day I picked up the camera to use it, I found the battery had died overnight. You will need backup batteries or to use it while plugged in. I would also suggest some sort of grip or L-bracket if you are not using a tripod to hold the camera because it’s pocket-sized and can feel small enough to slip out of your hands.

It lacks everywhere else. I tried a few of the “best” webcams first. The green screen was a fight, lighting was finicky.
When I got this Sony, all those issues went away. You will need a capture card for your PC. My motherboard came with one.
The camera is obviously lacking with no option for lenses and jpg only option for files.
My s23 ultra (Samsung flagship smart phone) takes way better video and pictures.
I think it’s spendy for just vlogging or content creation.
I also really disliked having to purchase the remote/stand separately especially at that price point.
5 star vlogging/content creation. 3 star camera, 3 star price (would be 4 but that seperate remote cost. C’mon it isnt a vlog/blog whatever camera without it)
4 star video. Shoot at higher fps, auto focus on a point for unboxing/reveal type work.
I don’t use the mic, can’t comment there.
If it was 400 or even 500 with the remote I would feel better about the price considering what it does. A Rebel isn’t much more.

It’s a good camera for a beginner if your just wanting a compact camera to take with you. Definitely not for making cinematic films with even in 4k. Mine has a problem with focusing and light exposure even with adjusting the exposure… it doesnt capture lighting like I hoped and makes a lot of my videos washed out. Going to have to unprade soon to a nicer camera to get the quality I need for my videos.
