The TOZO Crystal Buds are a great pair of earbuds for the price. They offer excellent fit and comfort, great sound quality, and long battery life. However, they do not have noise cancellation, which is a feature that some people may find essential.
If you are looking for a pair of affordable earbuds that offer great sound quality and comfort, then the TOZO Crystal Buds are a great option. However, if you need noise cancellation, then you may want to look for a different pair of earbuds.

I Have bought many sets of earphones and earbuds over the years, especially for exercise. Originally these were wired earbuds, then wireless earbuds before moving to truly wireless earbuds almost as soon as they came out. It has always been a challenge finding a good pair though. I have bought expensive pairs and many cheap pairs on the basis that it’s not so tragic when they die and your ears largely get used to the sound that the earbuds produce. The main weak areas of True Wireless Earbuds are due to the space available for the drivers, the batteries being small and so not being great and the reliance on Bluetooth which does not travel well through water and since your bodies mainly consist of water, our bodies are an obstacle for good connection, which is a problem especially in the gym. These problems affect the expensive earbuds as well as the cheap ones. However, over time technology has got better and these Crystal Buds although cheap are incredibly good. So, I am wondering now if I have not wasted a lot of money on my pair of Bose Sound Sport earbuds which have now died and my Sony LinksBuds S which are excellent and have an App. Afterall these Tozo Crystal Buds are less than £40, compared to £140 for the Sony LinkBuds which are only IP4 rated which is a concern in the gym whilst doing serious cardio. Incidentally, the biggest selling point of the Sony LinkBuds S are just how small, comfortable and discrete they are. However, these Tozo Crystal Buds are a similar size!
After 2-weeks of using the Tozo Crystal Buds the following are my observations and reasons why I came to the above conclusions.
Pros of Tozo Crystal Buds
Very Well Packaged
Surprisingly good instructions: Although quite minimalist the touch controls are well explained as are all other aspects, for the App it just has the QR code for downloading it.
Really good sound, both Quality (Clarity without distortion) & volume.
Connects to Tozo Sound App, which: –
• Shows percentage battery life in each earbud
• Enables graphic equalizer sound effects – 16 effects (Standard, Bass+, Bass-, Classical, Dance, Deep, Hip-Pop, Jazz, Original, Piano, Pop, R&B, Rock, Vocal, Treble+ & Treble-), plus the ability to tweak each effect to suit your own personal preference.
I started using the earbuds without the App, then downloaded it from the Play Store, installed it and started using it all whilst playing a track. The App is not absolutely necessary to enjoy the earphones but does add to the enjoyment significantly. It is also very straightforward and intuitive so probably not much need for any explanation in the user guide.
Good range of ear-tips, 6 options; XXS, XS, S, M, L & XL. Not easy to change but secure fit.
Bluetooth 5.3 – gives better connection & battery Life, also enables each earbud to be used independently i.e. just one or the other.
IPX8 Waterproof – ideal for any seriously sweaty activity, use in the rain or accidents dropping in puddles, etc. I have used them in the shower; however it was a problem when I washed my hair since too much running water on the surface triggers the touch controls.
The case is small so easily fits easily in your pocket, it also shows the case’s percentage battery life and an indication (4-bars) of battery life in each earbud that is in the case. Case also has a transparent lid which is nice: you can see at a glance if the earbuds are in the case or not.
The earbuds are very small, so good for small ears, very comfortable to wear and discrete.
Cons of Tozo Crystal Buds
Gloss black finish – Tends to show fingerprints and is less grippy than a matt finish. Though the lower half of the earbuds are matt which helps with keeping them in your ears. I assume that Tozo think gloss looks better??
No Active Noise Cancelling, however, less of a problem if a good ear-tip fit can be found and making best use of the sound capabilities that these earbuds can deliver.
The earbuds claim to support wireless charging, however, this did not work with either of my wireless chargers, so I use the supplied USB-c cable instead.
Overall these Crystal Buds put a real smile on my face. Highly recommended.

First of all, I’m very happy with these Crystal Ear Buds. I had a pair of NC9 earbuds, and the left one’s controls stopped working. I tried everything to fix and reset them, to no avail. One email to Tozo, and within 2 hours I heard back. Sent them my address, and in a few days a brand new set landed on my porch free of charge. Customer service and follow-up are stellar.
I still use my NC9’s when I need significant noise cancellation, and they are great. But the Crystals are great for all-purpose, if you only need some noise reduction, vs. noise cancellation. Here are the things I like a lot:
1. The connection to my iPhone is instant and seamless.
2. With 6 pairs of different tips, it was easy to fit them comfortably with a good “seal” to my ears. They’ve never loosened or fallen from my ears. I have small ear openings, and getting earbuds to fit is always a challenge. These, as well as my Tozo NC9 buds, fit perfectly and are so comfortable.
3. The controls on each side are simple and respond very well.
4. I like that when I walk my dog or just me, the noise reduction helps, but still allows me to hear sound; it’s safer than a stronger noise cancellation earbud.
5. I’ve never used them from 100% down to zero, but the case charges quickly and holds the charge. I go “a lot of hours,” sometimes a few days, before needing to charge. The bright digital display on the case let you know quickly how much charge is remaining, as well as the progress of charge when you have it plugged into its USB cable.
6. These Crystals come with a Tozo App downloadable from App Store or Play Store. It has several presets, and also you can customize some, so that you have an equalizer always on your phone if you want to change the sound balances of your music or customize your own. This is a great feature I’ve never had on other earbuds. It also helps with audio books and podcasts where the tenor of voice varies widely and different settings make the listening much better at times.
7. Now to aesthetics — these Crystal buds are flat out classy! The case and outer part of the actual buds are high-gloss piano black. The interior side of the buds are matte black, and the lid of the case is shiny, smoked, transparent plastic. At first the lid felt a little flimsy, but frequent use and near-constant carrying in purse, belt-pack or pocket, the case remains like new — strong and glossy. The LED display is bright and sharp, and the little metal plate on the front says “TOZO” in a handsome font. The case’s magnet is strong. As all the edges are gently curved, so the case simply lies on its front or back. The USB port is on the bottom, and a short cable is included. The box is top quality for gifting the Crystal buds as well.
8. These are cost-efficient enough that I’m not constantly anxious about losing one. I would be so nervous wearing high-dollar earbuds in my everyday workaday activities. With these I can just relax and enjoy, and that is so important in a life that is often stressed, like probably all of us.
Are they worth the money? In my experience, they are the best value out there. Design, features, build quality, sound quality and versatile controls surpass about anything in this price range. (They are frequently discounted, and often have generous discount coupons attached on Amazon.) MOST important to me in about anything I purchase is *Customer Service* and honoring the warranty. TOZO is 10-star on this, and when they immediately replaced my NC9’s that had a problem close to a year after I bought them, there was absolutely zero hassle, and they paid for shipping brand-new ones.
You can’t go wrong with TOZO — I love them. (Disclosure: while given these TOZO Crystal Buds, and asked for a review, the review was not “required.” I was assured that my honest review was welcomed, with no pressure to give a favorable one — just an honest one. All the above is my honest experience and review!)

I bought the TOZO T18 Crystal Buds for my adult niece (Olivia) and this is her review, after 2 weeks of constant use.
My TOZO Crystal Buds were bought as a replacement for my Tozo 10 Buds as Tozo has become a company that I now trust. From opening the box on their arrival I have been highly impressed. The case has been well thought through with a sleek cover and small, yet robust design. The battery life indicator on the case is an innovative and useful touch. The design of the earbuds has also been clearly well thought through as they fit snuggly into my ears, the silicone buds make them comfortable to wear for long durations and I now no longer have to worry about them accidentally being knocked and fulling out my ears, they feel extremely secure.
The earbud’s sound quality is also impressive for someone who listens to various media such as; audiobooks, music and podcasts. On my old earbuds, the music and vocals would sound tinny at high volumes. This is no longer the case with my TOZO Crystal Buds. The sound quality is ‘crystal’ clear, to the untrained musical ear it feels I am able to hear different instruments in songs that I previously haven’t heard.
The control features have come in very handy for hands-free control. I would recommend reading the instructions just so you are aware of the similar, yet different controls. But I have found them easy to use. You are able to skip, play/pause and control the volumes all without touching your phone. There are probably many more features that I am unaware of.
I was very happy with the price too as I found it to be of high quality for such a reasonable price compared to big brand companies and the quality doesn’t differ too far from bigger branded companies such as my old Bose SoundSport Wireless Headphones.
