Excellent product… Seamless connectivity across the house with no dead zone. Added features like embedded antivirus, encryption and parental controls are a bliss. Definitely recommended.

Coverage is low. Much lower then regular router(1vs1). Need to place one device per room. Even after that poor coverage in bathroom. Total disaster.

Usually for Mesh routers everyone can find mix and match of reviews. I had bought this a week ago and using since then. Till now I would say it is meeting the expectation (though not as great as how it should be). I have a 300Mbps connection. I have bought X20 ( 3 routers). I have a Hall, a Study Room and a Guest Bedroom. The structure is very simple. All the 3 rooms are in the same straight line and are separated by thick walls. \nThe signal was weak in Guest Bedroom corner and hence had to buy a mesh router. \nI have kept the primary node in the STUDY room (Centre room between Hall and Guest Bedroom). Then I had connected a secondary node 1 in hall and secondary node 2 in Guest bedroom. \nActual signal I’m getting now in Guest Bedroom (where signal was weak) – around ~120 – 160 Mbps. But with doors closed in Study room and Guest Bedroom I’m getting around ~75-85 Mbps which gets the job done like online training, schools , wfh etc., but still not able to fully utilize the entire capacity. \n\nBefore buying this Please keep the following in mind \n1. Do not go with the advertised Sq.ft (~5500) for 3 pieces. Think about the design of your house and where you want to keep it. Even though the coverage says 5500 Sq.ft if you are doors and windows are closed you can se a rapid decrease in the signal. \n2. The primary disadvantage is that you will not be able to select the SOURCE SIGNAL which I felt kind of weird. Initially I had 1 router in HALL, 1 in STUDY ROOM and 1 in GUEST BEDROOM. HALL was my primary node. Ideally the Guest bedroom should pull the signal from my study room (where router 2 is kept) . But instead it was trying to pull from HALL due to which the signal was very weak. there is no place holder to change the source signal. Hence I changed the Primary node study room which sits in between. \n\nAdvantages \n1. Very easy to setup (maximum 5 – 10 mins everything will be up and running)\n2. Reset is very easy\n3. If you are OK to get the job done for daily home purpose like WFH, school etc., then it is OK. I got around 150 Mbps for a 300Mbps connection\n\nDisadvantages\n1. You cannot select a SOURCE SIGNAL. Router automatically identifies the source signal and you cannot change it. Even if a closer router nearby , sometimes the 3rd or other routers will take signal from farthest router which leads to reduction in speed. You cannot change this source signal.

had no range with the present wifi. after connecting deco, the range and speed has been top notch. and it supports wifi 6. the activation was so simple and easy thanks to the deco app. no need of any extra knowledge for activation and no need to contact your broadband provider.

I have 3 deco x20 for my atleast 70% of the home. Enough coverage where we required. 2.4 GHz is worst. No speed on 2.4 G. 5 GHz is good for full potential of broadband. I disable 2.4 GHz on router and create 2.4 GHz guest network for smart devices. That boom for the router and users in our home. Every device which consume less data is on 2.4 GHz. Also when you have enternet cable around the home that’s the plus point. Full speed on every deco. Not a single % of drop of doped on enternet backhaul. If deco is connected through wirelessly then only 60% use of the speed. Every deco is capable of wifi 6. Overall I’m happy with speed. No drop on connection. Future updates will give more options on that

I have purchased a single pack of DECO X20. The aim was not to paint the house with WiFi, it was just the need of an access point without any antennae and a single room where wifi signals do not reach but have a LAN cord terminating. Now the X20 is aesthetically beautiful, the lan cord provided in the pack is a premium one. WiFi Signal have an average coverage , not more than 15 feet is all directions with the Deco X20 at the center. I have a 300 Mbps connection but the Deco X20 can at best spit out 260 Mbps even from a 2 feet distance from the Deco. The entire thing is all about mediocrity which is the DNA of Tp-Link devices, they are cheap in price and cheap in performance. However, if price is an issue and you want to go for a budget friendly mesh or any router, Tp-link is the only option to go for.
