I have annoying, stupid ears. I’ve lived for at least a decade thinking and believing that headphones that wrap around my ear are the kind for me.
I’ve worked in industries where it would be lovely for my headphones to be less conspicuous, and easier to take out and pop in. I have longer hair, too.
I’d tried, recently, to convert to ‘ambient sound headphones, in an effort to not feel a waxy bud held into my ear as I chew, speak, or move. A suspectedly psychotic coworker could hear the ambient sound over his incessant desk drumming and told me that ‘if I wanted a sound war, that I would lose.’ I don’t work with that [Several Censored Words] anymore.

I decided to try earbuds again. They fell out within an hour of just sitting at my desk, testing. I didn’t cry, but I felt a kind of frustration borne of powerlessness, and spent time looking for headphones that acknowledge my frustration.

    That’s when I found a video for U.E. Fits.

I saw the guy testing it headbanging sideways to System of a Down. I saw a lady show in a very well-written article a picture of the headphones in two different shapes, according to individual ear structure.

I warn you of how fast the heating element will start, and that only.
I am grateful for these in a way that I am not usually grateful, for I typically provide my own solutions.
These headphones have helped, and they stay in my ears. I cannot stress how unique that is, for I haven’t had a pair that have done that in my whole life. A good friend had gotten me a very nice pair of earbuds last year, and I lost one that very same day while grocery shopping. I haven’t had the gall to tell him, and I think he thinks that I didn’t like them. Nobody deserves such a stupid issue because of ear structure. I hope that competitors discover the plane on which UE Fits operates, and strives to mimic them in the most shameless of ways. People deserve it.

I am sort of ambivalent with these earbuds at $249, these buds a top tier price but lack some features that I consider a must in the top tier category. Great Ear buds but the price is steep for what you get

    The Good:

Comfort- As I stated in my title. More comfortable than the AirPods in fact the most comfortable ear buds I’ve ever had. That is saying a lot, truth is these are the only ones that I have completely forgotten they were in my ears.

-Sound- I’m a bass head so I do like my over the ear headphones a bit better for the bass but the low end is still present. The mids and highs are solid and separate with an easy to use EQ interface in the app. Overall these buds sound good.

-Call Quality: It is generally good. On an iPhone but not that the computer. (More on that later).

    The Bad:

Installation and Setup- You are sent to the app with minimal guidance. Since the technology is so new a little more details would have been helpful. Do you hold them tightly in your ears, loosely, etc. I think I got them right but it is still a guess on my part.

-Connection with the iPhone was a breeze other devices not so much. Took three tries to get them to connect to the Amazon Fie TV Stick and it took tech support to get them to connect to my Dell Laptop.

-Not compatible with Skype via the Dell Laptop. ☹ I really wanted these to be able to listen to music then automatically take calls through VOIP at the office it does but the person on the other end cannot hear me clearly. Even tech support gave up.

-No Active Noise Canceling but this is must for me at $249.

-Battery life: You get a full work day but only another day from the case. I would expect a minimum of two more charges in the case. All the other buds have a lot more and a way of knowing how much is left in the case would be nice. You have to disconnect from what ever you are using and connect to you phone to find out how much power you have left.

No Ambient noise pass through. Even my $50 Wyze headphone has this. Simply a poor oversight.

No Auto-pause- so you can’t just pull out an earbud to pause. Again even the $50 Wyze headphones has this.

They are easily the most comfortable earbuds I own and if comfort is your number 1 consideration these are your first choice. If sound quality is your top priority there are other options at a lower price point.

I’ve gone trough a few buds and these are incredible! First the fitting of the earpieces make the most comfortable and secure fit of any bud I’ve ever worn.you forget your wearing them. Customer service is fantastic. But above all you buy ear buds for sound. The quality is great, the bass comes through and it has a equalizer in the app to allow a total custom sound. I’m a fan for life!

This is the first time that I will give a product review because I have been using these now for almost 2 years. I guess it’s a plus that they’re still working.
I bought these because I was working in a very laborious environment and I wanted my hands to be free to do my job while also being comfortable. They work mostly as intended in this way. They are comfortable to wear. They are probably the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. The silicone is also easy to clean and fit back on. Also, they sound great. Music and audiobooks both do very well with these.
My issue with these are two things and they are both reasons why I would not recommend them. The bluetooth on these, while being mostly reliable without any crackling and disconnections. They problem starts when you need to pause what you are listening to for whatever reason. The touch controls are horrible. I much prefer a button at this point. Sometimes I find myself hitting the touch controls over and over again trying to get them to pause while someone talks to me IRL. It’s insanely annoying. Because of this I have become an inside joke for my co-workers. The ear tapper, they call me.
One other thing, they will randomly connect while in the charging case. This really sucks when you are listening to an audio book and you put the headphones back in your ears only to find out 3 chapters have gone by while they were sitting in the charging case. Perhaps the worst thing about the whole package is that the battery life is just all over the place. It’s like the case only wants to charge one headphone longer than then others. One always goes out before the other. Seriously, sometimes there is over 40% more battery in one than the other.

Anyway, I would not buy these again. They’re comfy and sound nice but they are unreliable in function and battery life. Find something else instead.

I have been using these headphones for about 2 weeks now and I must say they were better than expected. I typically have relatively small ears and some of the other in-ear headphones I’ve purchased aren’t a perfect fit, especially when running/working out. The UE FITS have exceeded expectations in terms of fit and comfort, the 1-time molding process was a quick and easy set up and the packaging was quite nice to ensure the molding didn’t occur prior to you receiving/opening the package. Keep in mind to only OPEN the product when you are prepared within a few minutes to go ahead with the set up/molding process. Any light source apparently can begin the hardening process which isn’t helpful if it’s not in your ears! Given those points, these are some of the most comfortable in-ear headphones I’ve had and can wear comfortably for hours. You can remove the tips and remold with a new tip if needed (purchased from UE)
Beyond the fit, the sound quality is on par with what i’d expect for this price point. Rich bass and nice mid-upper range tones. I also use these for work calls and have no trouble hearing others, and they have no trouble hearing me. So the mic/sound is great.
For a product at this price point i’d expect some form of active noise cancelling which is not the case here. The headphones are snug in my ears so there is a good amount of sound blocked simply because they’re acting like ear-plugs, but nothing technology wise actually doing that. Similarly, there is no pass-through feature so it’s hard to hear people/things outside the headphones when they’re in for that reason (they’re kinda like ear-plugs).
The battery lasts a good amount of time but the extra charge from the charging case only really charges it back up once before it’s almost dead, so you can travel with about 2-2.5 full charges without needing to juice back up. Sufficient for most (myself included). The case does not have wireless charging capabilities and is a USB-C port. Cable comes with the product of course. It’s a slim light case though which is nice.
The headphones have a touch button on each ear which allows a double click to perform 1 chosen action (can edit within the app). This means you can choose to do next song on one ear, and previous song on the other ear. You are pretty limited though with only 2 options, meaning you can’t play/pause and have control over next/previous song without opening the connected device. You can control google/siri through these double tap buttons if you choose to map that.
Aesthetically, I think they are interesting looking. Not good not bad, headphones look weird anymore to be honest. These are relatively low profile and don’t stick too far out of your ears, and the long stem is lined up with your ear so it’s personal preference at that point.

Overall I would say at this price point there are other headphones with the same sound quality but possibly better features, more options to control the output from the physical headphones, and active noise cancelling which is typically a selling point. If you have comfort issues with other brands or a history of headphones falling out, these are certainly a step up in comfort and reliably stay in. I will be keeping these as my main workout pair given the comfort and fit. They are rated IPX3 for sweat resistance and haven’t had any trouble with moisture, though others are also higher rated in that department as well. 4 solid stars from me!
