the jug is not insulated. Though it quickly boils the water inside it, but if you accidentally touch the outer surface, you will badly burn your hand. no one is expecting the kettle to be a hot and cold fully insulated one but at least there shall be aone protection on the outer metal part of the kettle

Purchased this recently and I am happy with the purchase. I have used more than 10 times and it is pretty good. It has the auto cut off (can be put to off, once it reaches the desired temp), easy to clean, the wire is of decent length, same to the other kettles I have used before. Finally yes, the body gets hot when it heats up completely anyway we have to play with the handle and not the body when it’s hot.
