I ordered the MI smart band 6 mainly for swimming 🏊‍♀️ Unfortunately I wasn’t able to test it because of the battery issue. When I first received the package it was in good condition, there was no external damage. But I had a hard time figuring out how to connect it to my phone, this was only because the battery was completely dead when I received it.
I then charged it to 99%, around 4:30 pm(check the pics for proof). The battery began to drain very fast(signs of an old weak battery), by 5:21 it was 83%, I immediately thought of requesting a replacement, but then I had to wait till the next morning as the seller didn’t have any stock.
The next morning at 5 am, which is 12 hrs 30 mins later, the battery was down to 39%, by 8:43 it became 28%.

The battery took only around 16 hrs to get from 99% to 28%, In the first 50 mins it came down to 83% rapidly.

I called the customer support as there was no replacement available, they were only able to initiate a return process, which will take 3 days, after that the refund will be credited to Amazon pay in 1 or 2 days(even though I paid with cash) so it’s a 5-6 days wait till I order another replacement afteri get the, from a different seller. If I received the cash it would faster from a local store.

Once I get A new one, I will be able to review the performance after I use it for a month. I HAVE GIVEN 4 STARS BECAUSE I RECIVED A DEFECTIVE PIECE(Dead Battery), BUT ONCE I GET A NEW ONE I WILL RATE AGAIN. If it’s good I will even give 5 stars, or it can become 2-3.

Pros
Overall performance of the band is actually very good, accuracy for walking is also good, the app has a lot of features, you can even get a customized wall paper with your pictures on the watch.
The screen is slightly bigger than band 4, so you can read all notification from your phone.
You can even customize the vibration for each option Individually.
The build quality is decent and charging port is magnetic for easy connection.
You can find the phone in case you are searching it around the house. You can also find the band from the app. But it doesn’t have an alarm like the phone, only vibration.
There are various sports modes included.
You can control phone music volume, pause, play, next & previous tracks.

Cons

The strap could be a little longer for people with large wrists.
They have the option to reject call, could have included accept calls too.
If you don’t have location turned on in your phone, you can’t connect initially and also every time you re connect, and sync.
The first setup can be made with the Qr code inserted of searching, it took me time to try every option, finally got it with the QR code.

Overall

It’s a good product and it’s value for money when compared to other brands, I would suggest you get the band 5 or 6 because the older versions have a smaller screen.

Update 1:
This is an Update after 7 months of use, I have used it for Walking, running and indoor fitness, the step count, heart rate is almost close to the actual numbers. The sleep moniter is also accurate, only thing that is 99% accurate is the sleeping timings and it even counts if you wake up briefly in the middle of the night for a few mins.

In the original review I told the battery was very poor, but after a few cycles of charging it got a little better, it must have been drained because of shelf life. I was all happy with it till today, the main reason I got this model was for swimming, used it for the first time while swimming in the pool, it all started well and the screen locked but I was not able to see the progress time by touching the screen, I had to take itand wipe the water and tap several times for it to turn on the display, after I completed 1 hr of swimming it took me 5 mins to get the display to turn on so that I could stop the workout, when it finally unlocked, I was disappointed, it didn’t track the swimming at all, it was 0 meters, and it said very little data to save as a workout. Basically it was just running like a stopwatch and the workout wasn’t recognised and tracked even after I had manually out it on swimming mode. I thought, maybe it’s the first time, so I’ll try again next time I go swimming. I returned home and after a few hours the display turned green, don’t know if it is water that got inside or any other problems with the software, the screen is now green but the touch works but the display is not working. My guess is water must have entered inside the watch which is supposed to be water resistant for 5atm. The product description says you can use it in shower and swimming pool, I have used it while washing hands and nothing happed, but looks like the swimming pool was a little toomuch for it.
I don’t know what to do now, since it’s 7 months after buying. I will see if I can find a local service centre or if Amazon will have a solution for my watch repair. I will update again if there is any progress.

The product is small and very comfortable to wear at night, covers less skin, and as for the battery life it is good, with one charge it is working for almost 2 weeks. It’s a recently purchased product so as for the strap it is fine with me, in case the strap gets cut off it would be best to purchase the silicon strap from the mi store in past I purchased several straps when I bought mi band 3 when its strap cut off. They might provide the same durable strap and the same quality strap. The features it is nice and as for the wallpapers they are just ok.

Updating the review. Went to the Mi store and the mi band 6 was exchanged without any questions asked as the previous product had a defective battery. The new piece i recieved doesn’t have any battery issues and i see the battery lasting a good 15 days now.

Bought this band about a month back. The battery life of the product I received is pathetic.
I had read online about battery calibration needed as it’s a software issue and not really a bettery issue. Had seen quite a few videos about how to recalibrate the battery. Tried all those steps multiple times but to no avail. No amount of 0-100 charge cycles solved the issue for me.
The battery lasts only 5-6 hrs !! And this is with all notifications turned off and heart rate monitoring set to least rate of 30 mins.
Very disappointed with the product that despite all these efforts, the battery is a bummer.

Bought this in 2022. The smartwatch is worth it as it gives steps, time and heartbeat on the main monitor. However the battery of the device is bad and gets over very early. It lasts maximum for 9-10 days duration. I found the exercise feature really good and you can select the exercise accordingly.
