Artis E500M in-Ear Headphones with Mic (Black)

Most Important thing if your headphone output is not good then, you are not going to hear good quality out of this…
Like if you use Iphone the quality would be amazing..
but Some smartphones like realme, redmi, etc also have good output…. but the Samsung midrange phones doesn’t have that so quality is not good on that…
so keep this in mind…

Okay so I am going to compare this with my Apple Earpods (Wired)

Quality wise: Good, It comes with an angled 3.5 mm jack..
and rubber coated wires… so that is good..
quality is definitely better than Apple.

comfort: So it is definitely better than Apple… it fits right in the ears…

Sound quality: So it depends… I am not a pro so my views
could be different… So what I noticed is that the bass is less than Apple’s but the Clarity is better than Apple’s… and Apple is a bit more on the louder side… so the (Apple)voice is not clear at high volumes… but I still like (Apple) that it’s not like that one can’t use it… Apple is good on the roads where there is a lot of noise…

So now coming to the topic, Artis is having that good balance between the Voice clarity and bass.. so you are going to hear some good quality sounds on the Artis…..

Is this worth the money?

Yes in my opinion
Boat bass heads are uncomfortable in the ears so Keep that in mind too amd I am not sure about the clarity of sound… So yeah I think that you can go for Artis But plz have a good audio output smartphone in the hand too..
cause it matters a lot to have the good quality.

Product is nicely packed treble, bass is adequate for equivalent user. This earphone is came with L type connect design product shown is different though it is easy for using and it prevent from wire break I have attached picture for the same.

The sound quality is good for the price you pay. Comparing it to higher priced brands like Sennheiser or JBL would be like comparing apples to oranges.

Two drawbacks:
1. The eartip is oval rather than round (pic 1). Though this is good for grip, it is really painful for longer use. My ear canals were paining slightly after 20-30 mins of use. This could be a personal problem. Just wanted to throw it in here as a drawback i faced.

2. The microphone pinhole faces towards body when you wear this. I had to twist and hold the mic in front during a call, especially because mic is so far down our face. The earphones comes with a clip. I then used the clip to twist and hold the mic in position on my shirt.

If you can live past these drawbacks, it is a total value for money because;
1. Good cable
2. 45 degree L connector
3. Really long cable
4. Good sound
5. Decent mic

PS: also the red color on earbuds is not pure red and as attractive as shown in pics. It is more of a faded red, tending towards pink.

Back in early 2000 , when I had my first PC , i got an Artis 4.1 Surround system since Creative Live Sound Blaster was out of my budget. And there weren’t any other trust worthy brands or much options to choose from , like we have today. Honestly , i wasn’t expecting much from Artis 4.1.But to my surprise, it performed amazingly well with excellent sound quality that I couldn’t find much difference from the Creative Sound Blasters. And till this date , it’s still working. While cleaning the house , i some how lost a speaker.Very recently , it’s power supply (12v adapter) failed and had to be replaced.Other than theses two , it’s still serving me well enough. So I’m considering Artis speaker system for my new PC.

So with such a very very satisfying experience with the brand & the feed back from customers , i blindly ordered this earphones from Artis. I believe I have a better ear to music & had done few personal audio recordings too. With that small experience , i should honestly say that I am very much disappointed with this product except for the build quality.

Build quality is very good. Cable, Jack , ear buds everything is very good to excellent , considering the price. This ear buds are the best in class i have ever tried , when it comes to comfort. It fits so well and feels very very comfortable that you won’t feel it’s there & it blocks most sounds from the environment.

But, where it fails miserable is when it comes to sound quality. It has a bass to it.But not refined.So it’s not a pleasant experience.Rather tyan a true bass , it sounds something similar.Thats all.And i hear some noise if it’s too much of bass. It fails even terrible when it comes to mid range & high as well. It’s hard to hear those which again is a very unpleasant experience. If you are an A.R.Rahman fan , then this is a huge disappointment , i should say. I don’t think music player’s equalizers aren’t going to help much. When I tap the mic area , there is some sound coming from that to the war piece. But not any environmental noise. I guess this is normal to all such products with mic. So for a far better sound quality & if you an adherent music fan , it is better to invest in a
very good quality ear phone with no mic. Better avoid the cheap ones no matter how all some customers praise it since most common buyers don’t have a real idea of a better sound quality. Saying all that , i have observed that the mic in this one is very good. You don’t have to keep it near your mouth. It seems very sensitive even when let to hang at it length & noise cancellation is doing an excellent job. Considering this too aling with build quality & price , fast delivery etc , i have given 3 Stars.

Final verdict – if you want an ear phone with very good build quality, that comfortably sits in your ears & you just use it casually and more for voice calls , i will recommend this. For music lovers , i would say , buy a butter quality / brand investing a bit more , of course a non-mic version. I think , i personally would get a Sony one with bass as in my experience they always delivered the best quality even in the days of walkman.

Update : While I stick on with my earlier review , here is a small update. If you are using it with an MP3 or Video player with equalizer , it sounds much much better. I should also say that I decided to keep it for its build quality , confortness in fitting in the ears and great chords which , literally never gets tangled. As I said in the earlier review , i had a very good experience with Artis speaker system & will consider buying it for my next PC. I hope they will make much better ear phones in future with USB – C ports as well keeping the audio quality on par with their speakers. This product is still worth buying than slightly cheaper ones which won’t last.This one seems to last for at least 1- 2years taking some serious abuses. Even if I don’t avide my stuffs , yesterday it fell off from my table and I accidentally walked over it. In another incident it’s cable got slighty jammed between the drawer of my desk. My earlier headphone wire got cut off in the same situation. So , now I don’t mind a drop in sound quality for the build quality and endurance. But for for pure “music bliss” , i will spend some money getting a Sony or such brands. Thank you for your time 🙂
