Daikin 1.5 Ton 5 Star Inverter Split AC (Copper, PM 2.5 Filter, 2022 Model, FTKR50U, White)

This is such an under rated air-conditioner.. not much reviews to read .. but i just ordered one and got it installed today.. this is just first day experience which i am writing.. will update post using the ac for some more time….

Cooling is just wonderful in 130sq ft room .. it’s silent in and out .. it is packed with some features you won’t get in this price range in such top brand.. like 4 way swing and wifi connectivity.. the %age of energy utilisation keeps you informed about electricity being consumed … The quality of body plastic is classy and doesn’t look like cheap product…

I am using this air con for past 1 week, this product gives optimum level of cooling so that you don’t feel like freezing anytime. You can control the AC through WiFi (there are three mode, through AC Hotspot, Home Router & via Daikin Cloud). I tried all three and works perfectly. But if you want to control your AC by Alexa / Google Home then the setup may be a bit complicate as i haven’t able to do so after 1 week also. The steps mentioned in the manual for setting up Alexa / Google home is not sufficient.
Overall a great product but a bit overpriced. In the long run only i will able to tell if investing this much money upfront helps or not.

Pros:
The AC can be connected via Wi-Fi and while returning home we can turn on AC beforehand so the room is cooled. This feature is the best.

The cooling is good.

The noise level is low in general

Different modes of cooling are present like power chill, good sleep, econo which is appropriate for different situations.

Cons:
The lowest temperature is 18 degree while the other Daikin AC I purchased goes up to 16 degree.

The noise level is sometimes high

The stand of the outdoor unit is not available in the package. It costs extra.

Post extensible research in the market, across all the platforms (eshopping and direct sale shops)I got this deal for Rs.47,800
Belive me it’s one of the best AC. Ignore the negative reviews and grab this without hesitation.
Though i was skeptical initially, as this is the first time I’m spending that much amount for a home appliances via online, now i feel it’s the best buy and wouldn’t have ended up in getting it at a cheaper price elsewhere.
As i used to get products after a vast research in the market, DAIKIN is best after comparing it with many brands and found feasible but costly though.
Predominantly all the DAIKIN models doesn’t have display in the indoor unit except this one, as it shows ROOM TEMPERATURE, AC TEMPERATURE, CAPACITY OF OUTDOOR UNIT (it shows the runtime in % , if it shows 100% then outdoor unit runs at its full efficiency consuming more power)
After my initial order with AMAZON, delivery date showed 6 months time range, when i checked with AMAZON customer care they promised me it will be delivered sooner else the order might get cancelled because of lesser stock available in the warehouse. Luckily i got the product delivered on the 3rd day of my order. Thanks to AMAZON for quicker delivery in CHENNAI location. Though it’s 2020 model, i got the latest produced one – 2021 model

REVIEW AFTER 3 months usage-
PROS
1. Cooling is fast
2. Remote is equipped with LED buttons and which glows at night.
3. It has silent operation and 4 way swing options.Even the outdoor unit is operating very silent.
4. Since it’s a 5 star AC, i used to run the AC at 22 degree throughout the night (say 12 hours) it consumes very much lesser electricity – Around 6 to 7 units
5.Installation people are well knowledged and fixed the AC without glitches. Since it’s a WIFI ac they’re unaware of how to connect it. later I raised a request with DAIKIN and the regional area manager called me and shared the details of how to connect the WIFI
6. Once you sign up with the mobile application, you can add your AC on it and can operate it from anywhere as it is mapped to cloud. Controlling your AC through cloud system is awesome

CONS.
1. Installation charges were more as they’re charging so much for each and everything. On the whole I paid around 3.5k bucks
2. Since it’s a WIFI model, it would’ve been better if we can able to track the AC consumption units in MOBILE application
3. Installing the application in your mobile is horrible, as it’s very tough to SIGN UP for first user. One may find difficult in setting the password while logging in as it accepts only numbers (10digits minimum). There was no help resources in how to sign up, as i figured out after trying more trial and errors.
4. I am using JIOfiber wifi as it has dual band range. This model AC connects only the long band range, could’ve been better if it’s able to connect on both.
5. It requires Alexa or Google devices for voice command activation, it was in vain when i tried via mobile application.
